My husband and I recently ate here this passed August, we loved it here so much we ate here more than once, both times for dinner and the 2nd was even better than the first. Both times I had the rigatoni pomodoro dish and my husband had the beef filet with grilled vegetables, the food was AMAZING from the appetizer... More

We had dinner here based on generally high reviews on TA. Atmosphere was very nice. Service was average. The food was a bit disappointing. When the reviews are of the level this restaurant seems to have you just expect that the dish will be done properly. My wife had a shrimp (prawns) special which was fairly expensive and flavored nicely... More

Food was great, cooking class was a lot of fun. Restaurant is beautiful and has great ambiance. However, every bottle of wine I attempted to order from the list was not available and the wine service was incredibly slow (to me there is no excuse for that). So while I loved the food, not sure I'd go back.

Ristorante Max, a fine dining restaurant hidden from the main drag for only those in the know, excels at seafood of all descriptions. We loved that the menu offered a tasting selection of home made pastas (gnocchi with squid, tagliatelle with prawns and ravioli stuffed with crab meat) and the Mediterranean prawns accompanied with tempura green beans were so flavoursome... We visited this restaurant three times in 7 days and loved it. Especially the cat with a flat ear who visited the table for titbits. I tried the Zuchini Flowers and the Fish of the Day and they were delicious. We were attended very well by the staff and found this a very peaceful place to eat. The menu was... More

A beautiful room and outdoors with food so exceptional, we came back the next night! Service was outstanding. We also met diners who had come back again! Anything on the menu we tried was SO good. Don't think you will be disappointed here.

We chose this restaurant for its closenes to our hotel while staying in Positano. It is a cosy, nicely decorated restaurant with a little garden (but no view). Also an art house. We ordered caprese as a starter and seafood risotto and shrimp tagliotellino for main course. All were good as well as the service.

Beautiful décor The interior of the restaurant is designed to make you feel as if you are in a private home. Beautiful furnishings & art and each seating is in a different nook with an overflow of detail. The food is very good, I would have liked the waiter to be more involved with our choices but I must say... More

Very entertaining evening. Seated over the cellar plus great view of customers coming and going. The ballet on the beach was on at the time..meet some lovely people. The food was great and the staff were good. Hate paying coperti(cover charge). Of course we do't leave a tip if that'on the bill

It was our anniversary and we wanted a special dinner. The restaurant accommodated us with a very nice table in a corner with a lot of room. The atmosphere was very nice, cozy and romantic with a lot of antiques and paintings for sale. Presentation is everything here but we found the taste of the food a bit lacking. I... More
