We dined here on 3 occasions during our visit to Positano. The first time we ended up dining outside due to a large noisy party sitting inside. The outside area is protected from the road and was nice to sit and people watch during our...meal. The other times we sat inside to eat. The food was fresh, tasty and homecooked fare and was chosen from the every changing menus that are hung up on the wall. The wait staff were friendly and answered questions about the menu. We would definitely dine here again if visiting Positano in the future.More

Brilliant little place with amazing food and local wines. Service was excellent so were the clam “soup”, pasta and gnocchi. I would highly recommend grabbing a bite here!

We had an amazing experience. The staff was attentive and we loved the food. We had memorable main "paccheri" and superb dessert "panna cotta". The value is unbeatable in Positano. And the free shuttle service to the hotel was just icing on the cake.

We went there twice. We were astonished by the athmosphare and the crowd at the restaurant. The food is amazing, local, fresh, and affordable! The waiters are helpful, speak english and italian and can recommend the best for you. The food is freshly picked from...the market, seafood daily picked from the sea and the chef prepares them deliciously. and: they offer a FREE shuttle bus from and and to your hotel, so no worries - ladies with heels - you DO NOT HAVE TO WALK. The restaurant is one of the best, especially the tuna tartare is one of a kind. The wine list is rich, and also includes local wines - just ask the waiters to recommend you something that goes well with your choice of meal! Enjoy!More

We came for dinner to Il Grottino Azzurro and especially enjoyed the nice service. As the place is located on the main road, it is a bit more noisy outside; however, the owner has done a nice job to separate the small terrace from the...street. Food was generally very good and home made. Definitely a nice place to try if you want to have a change from the fancy Positano restaurants.More

We ate here twice on a long weekend in February. There was a huge wine choice which the sommellier helped us with and chose a wonderfully smooth and full bodied bottle, so good that it was one of the reasons we came back. The food...was great too - both times we started with the veggie plate - a superb array, and the caprese salad, simple and perfect. My wife's vegan choice was mushroom and tomato pasta, which she really liked and I had the chicken breast, perfectly cooked and on the second night the grouper. Beautiful food in its simplicity, but it all tasted absolutely wonderful. Excellent service.More

We visited in December, we had limited choices due to this being the off season. We made reservations and arrived to a pretty empty restaurant which gave us all the attention!! By the time we left the place was packed! The staff was wonderful and...accommodating. Your menu is limited and cleverly hanging on the wall. However they had no problem when I made small change to my dish. Food was AMAZING Really amazing... a wonderful night. When we were ready to leave it was raining so they had no issue taking us back to our airbnb. Would definately return if/when i go back.More

Did not realize that almost all of the restaurants close during winter. We walked down to the waterfront looking for a nice place to eat. NO success! Googled to find Grottino. They even pick you up and drop you off for free!!! A friendly driver...picks us up and takes us to the restaurant. He incidentally owns a hotel in Positano, just helping his friend. It was a really friendly place. We drank 3 bottles of good wine and ate some excellent food. It was a good start for our Amalfi visit. I am happy I visited Positano in winter and got to spend time and eat among locals. That was really fun. Of course, they were other tourists like us. Great night guys!! Thank you!!More

If you’re lucky you might score street parking but it’s all pretty tight around this area. If you’re happy to walk 10-15 mins you’ll probably find something on the road leading into / out of Positano.
