On recommendation from our Air B&B host we had an excellent meal complemented by great service at La Marina da Antonio. The seafood was very fresh and beautifully cooked. We had the catch of the day and grilled seafood and both meals were fantastic, as was the local trofie pesto for prima patti. Great location by the waterfront although was... More

We have visited Portovenere a number of times over the years and have usually had lunch in La Marina. The location is special, on the quayside, where the boats going by create quite a spectacle in the sunshine. We have had some good meals there, with a roast squid, with roasted red peppers, dish being a standout. This year our... More

You would think that a restaurant at a privileged location in a traditional fishing area could not get it wrong, but like us you would be mistaken. We ordered 2 Frittata Mistas and the dish were horrible: a mixture of tiny fish (size of domestic aquarium fish) with some vegetables (tempura style but soaked in oil) and a single prawn... More

6 of us had dinner at this restaurant and were very pleased with the level of service, attention to detail and quality of the food here. Our waiter took time to answer all of our questions on the menu and wine list and allowed us to taste both house red and white before we made a decision (unlike Trattoria Tre... More

We sat inside, as the outdoor seafront tables were full. My skewered shrimps and prawns were slightly overcooked and dry, but my companions' pasta with clams and mixed grilled seafood (squid, prawns and local fish) were both outstanding! Would give it another try.

Another of the sea front restaurants offering virtually the same menu mainly fish and seafood . The jewel in the crown here was the pasta dish of filled ravioli served with the most delicious walnut sauce ( any chance of the recipe, please?!!). We ate here twice just so that we could try this dish again! In fact, a double... More

Nice location on the marina; saxophonist playing for coins just outside--sounded nice. Crowded in August and staff looks tired. I'd call it fast food for seafood. We both ordered the spaghetti with clams for the primi course and ate every bit, so we call it good--but it wasn't outstanding. The bread seemed stale, so we didn't touch it after the... More
