In Pistoia there are a lot of restaurants in all kinds. Aie and Sally was exactly the one we where looking for. Small, not a big cart, but enough choice, simple style and locals. They give you a large explanation of everything thats on the menu and help you with the choice. They speak excellent german, especially Sally. They let... More

I have returned to this restaurant after 1 year. Fantastic welcome Ale & Sale are brilliant. The welcome the helpfulness. The quality of the food is second to none. We are returning tonight as my wife just had to try the strawberry risotto. If your in Pistoia don't miss it.

Recommend by owner of flat we had in Pistoia. Choice of local food, wine and beer. Friendly staff who did there best with a group of not Italian speakers. Everything was well cooked and served.

We went to this fantastic little restaraunt after reading the great reviews on here and left satisfied after a great meal and truly lovely experience. A warm and very friendly welcome was followed by a complete translation of the menu, such a useful touch. The food was of excellent quality, indeed my wife said that the Gnocchi was the best... Full of Italian guests and a menu without English translation. This was a promising restaurant and they certainly lived up to it! Lovely mixed antipasti, followed by a tasty and spicy pasta for one and a grilled and sliced (tagliata) duck for the other. Perfect service, delicious housewine and lovely Italian cuisine. I would certainly come back here!

After a long day of walking and taking in the beauty of Lucca and Pisa, we returned to Pistoia for yet another meal at da Ale & Sally. During our many visits to Pistoia over the last several years, we find ourselves returning to this trattoria again and again. We love the whole experience--the homey space, the friendly service, the... More

Nice German/ French speaking waitress, Italian friendly atmosphere, good value for money. It is worth to eat fish dishes (3 times a week freshly served), but steak is also a perfect choice. Ask for wine as well, choice of local people will be perfect :) Worth to walk to this beautiful small restaurant!!
