We decided to try this restaurant on our last night in Orvieto. Wow, are we ever glad we did! The interior has been tastefully remodeled and the decor consists of old artifacts and photos from days gone by. Everything felt clean and neat. The server/manager had a very "hip" and artsy look, adding a unique dimension to our positive experience.... More

What a great place. The woman who waited on us is very knowledgeable about healthy fresh foods and even offers glutton free options. She also speaks English very well. We are in Orvieto for a month and this is tied as our favorite.

One of those restaurants you dream of finding! Five of us friends were wandering down the Corso Cavour looking for a likely spot for lunch when came across Antica Cantina. The menu looked good, the restaurant was inviting, and the two ladies receiving customers were very welcoming. We were hooked. And how glad we were. The food here is outstanding.... More

We read about this restaurant in a travel guide and we weren't disappointed. The food was excellent - boar stew and pork knuckle. The meat was tender and delicious. The staff were attentive and asked if we enjoyed our meal. All very reasonably priced.

This restaurant is where you want to be when you want to feel taken care of. I am gluten free. When the server found this out, she brought my bread first and would not even let the bread with gluten be on the same side of the table! Others have mentioned the Pear Carpaccio - the balsamic reduction make my... More

The heart and soul put into the food here is what makes this such an amazing place. The ladies who run this lovely restaurant really care about their ingredients, the cooking and the clients. My husband who is gluten free was so happy to be able to eat toast with truffle! It was so delicious and the wine was so... More

My parents, son and i had made a weekend trip to Orvieto. We had taken a long walk around the walls and were actually looking for pizza, when the clouds opened and we sought shelter in the nearest restaurant. Menu simple, typical fare with a twist, simple presentation big flavour. However it was our amazing hostess who deserves a mention... More

We are ending our fifth visit to Orvieto and have eaten at Antica Cantina so many times we have lost count. The food is always delicious and well prepared. I have several favorites (Ombrichelli Norcia and the Rigatoni Rancetto to name a few!) but the daily specials have also been a treat. We have always been warmly welcomed by Cecelia... More

We both had great meals. My vegetarian ravioli with ricotta, spinach and sage was superb. Husband had pear, pecorino cheese, rocket and balsamic vinegar salad and then a wild boar stew which were both excellent. Very smiley and helpful waitress who enjoyed her job and it showed. Will go back again if we have time

Excellent regional cooking and very friendly atmosphere. They use local organic ingredients whenever possible The chef came out to explain in detail the preparation of her fabulous pasta carbonara. We are planning a special excursion to Orvieto this fall just to savour her creations.

We are women, we like to host people, see their smile and feel good. See you there!
