Located right beside a beautiful overlook, Mezza Luna is a bit difficult to find, but worth the effort. The room is warm and friendly. The staff are friendly and helpful. It definitely had the air of a "local" establishment and group; the crowd seemed like mostly families from the town. Abundant and delicious Carbonara was the dish. You won't leave... More

Small restaurant, 10 tables or so just around the corner from our hotel Palazzo Piccolomini. Recommended by our tour guide and bus driver. Not touristy at all. It seemed all locals dining there. Owner and staff were howling and yelling at a soccer match on small TV in kitchen added to the genuine local feel. The Carbonara is outstanding. Prices... More

The place was recomended for eating carbonara and really they had the best carbonara we have ever had. Enormous portions, a bit on the fat side, and with lot of egg yolk. Allow yourself a one-time immersion in cholesterol for the sake of the good taste of this dish.

I had a fettucini with artichoke, and my husband had a carbonara. Both were to die for. We also split a bruschetta and wished we'd each had our own. This place is as legit as it gets.

Best food we had during our recent trip to Italy. Recommended by a local and it was oh so good! Small, family run restaurant. We ate here for 2 meals. The pasta was divine. We also had delicious steak. And lemon sorbet was to die for. I dream about the food here. Highly recommend. Excellent value and service.

Had pasta lunch here. great carbonara large serving very good value. Service is always good here, but it can get very busy so booking is a good idea. My first place to go to for pasta

In Italian, "Mezza Luna" means "half moon" as you know. (or not?) And my title "più o meno" means... more or less! I had a salad (fine) and some pasta for lunch, but it seems a bad choice, a big portion and... heavy. Only for hungry italian workers.

Great food in a tucked away location in the old city area. A bit hard to find, but worth the search. Tasty, well prepared food.

A small family run restaurant. Fabulously simple, wonderfully tasting and reasonably priced Italian food. I wish this was my local, I would be there every week!

Forget it! Just walk on to another restaurant, there are so many in Orvieto. The owner has a permanent frown on his face and just cant wait for you to get out. The food is sub standard and very disappointing. We had pasta al'amatriciana with huge pieces of fat, instead of bacon, and a lack lustre tomato sauce. Then, veal... More
