I'm glad we came across this place while walking around Orvieto. Lovely place, excellent food, good service, great wine of the house - just don't drink too much, you might get drunk (its alcoholic level is quit high).

Had a very pleasant dinner on a cold night here in Orvieto. The service was efficient and friendly. I had an appetizer of carpaccio of smoked goose (wow!) and the cinghiale (wild boar) ... not a normal U.S. meal by any stretch, but really really good. I highly recommend the place!

We ate here one month after the earthquake in Amatrice. A number of restaurants in Italy were offering to donate to earthquake relief for every order of pasta all' Amatriciana. So we decided to try it at La Pergola. It was amazing! Pasta in Italy is an entirely different animal than pasta in the U.S. I am a convert. I... More

Cute! The meal was a great value & pasta is homemade. No frills and very casual. Hard to find a place open so we settled and enjoyed the meal.

We ate here on the recommendation of our hotel. It is up a small lane off one of the main shopping streets. The staff were friendly and helpful - my wife asked what meals were served at the next table and when told of the two types of pasta, the waiter said that my wife could order half serve of... More

We stopped into this ristorante in mid afternoon and wanted a pasta dish. We noticed that because of the earthquake the ristorante would match a 1 euro price increase (9 instead of 8) with another euro. Two of the four of us had the amatriciana pasta and it was one of the best. The wait staff was excellent as well.... More

A very relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. The pasta amatriciana was memorable and the best pasta dish of our 10 days holiday. The grilled lamb chops were excellent but not every main was of such a high standard, the steak being slightly disappointing . But very reasonable for the quality and would certainly recommend, good service and ambiance.

We chose La Pergola because of its recommendation in the Slow Food Guide and it was very busy on a Sunday night. Having had a pasta-based lunch we were looking for a meal centered on meat. Unfortunately most of the things we would have liked were crossed out on the menu. Not on the daily menu mind you but the... More

We lucked into this place by arriving just as they opened. They filled up pretty quickly and the patio in back had a large party. The lamb chops were grilled - perfectly cooked with just the right amount of crispy deliciousness from the grill.

Serves local, Umbrian fare, with a relaxed atmosphere. The umbricelli amatriciana was good. I had the veal's stomach in tomato sauce. It was well cooked. The antipasti meat and cheese platter was standard. All in all solid fare, but not astounding.
