Enjoy the delightful ambience and relaxing close to Cathedral of Orvieto. The friendly and professional staff works in harmony and always smiling, that's why their food is so good: beautifully presented and really tasty. I cannot wait to come back again , see you soon!!

Very touristic menu, two waiters waiting on the whole place, therefore food arrived cold, water never made it to our table, not to mention very very average food quality. Let's put it this way, my non Italian friends can make better pasta ragout. Bread basket moves from one table to another (hygiene issue) and only arrives with the food and... More

Dear Italiantraveller 1982, I strongly believe you hit a different place from the Giglio d'Oro. Our restaurant has been rated two forks by the Michelin guide thanks to our chef who has been cooking for the last 40 years achieving high results everywhere. I would describe our menù as everything BUT touristic! "Roasted tomato custard with caciotta cheese foam, risotto... More

We enjoyed a great lunch and excellent, friendly service here on a Monday lunchtime. The terrace allows for views of the Duomo but we ate indoors to escape the midday heat. The interior is bright, modern and lovely and the food was wonderful. We had a delicious aubergine mousse and then mains of wild boar lasagne, saffron and courgette risotto... More

We were looking for a place for dinner at about 8 pm on Sunday. Many places had closed and we weren't interested in pizza. When we saw this restaurant, I had some doubts because there were no patrons (the piazza was virtually empty). But I was wrong. We had one of our best meals of this trip. Tidy, attractive interior.... More

Not cheap, great food particularly the lamb chops. Service could do with a bit of an uplift, bring the meals for three out of four guests leaving one to wait for 5 minutes is not a good look. We spoke Italian fluently and the excuses were pusillanimous. Of course, sitting on the square where the Orvieto duomo is located is... More

You pay for the view at this restaurant. The day we were there it was very windy so we opted to sit inside rather than overlooking the Duomo. The decor inside is very modern, bright whites and yellows with an open kitchen. You could see the kitchen was all stainless steel and tile surfaces with the chefs in bright white... More

Dear Sket101, thank you for your kind review. We are so happy you appreciated our decor as our restaurant went through a major restoration last winter and creating an open kitchen for our Michelin rated chef Enzo Santoni together with brightening up the rooms were two of the key points in the whole project. Of course an open kitchen means... More

Dear JankanHH, thank you for taking the time to review our resturant. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed being welcomed with our fresh home made "lumachelle" (typical local snail shaped bread) filled with pecorino cheese and cooked ham mousse. We are delighted to hear that our "Paté di Fegatini con ristretto di Calcaia" (Liver paté with a local... More

Mentre i dessert spaziano dai classici della pasticceria, a originali combinazioni di golosità____The principal ingredient of our kitchen is love. Love for the high-quality products of the territory – Umbrian and Tuscan extra-virgin olive oil, chianina beef, truffles, cheeses – and for the magical blends of new and subtle flavors, the underlying premise of the gastronomic journey we propose. Dishes based on fish betray oriental inspiration, grafted onto Tuscan roots. Desserts range from the classics of the pastry chef to original mouth-watering delicacies.
