We stopped in here for an afternoon coffee and dessert and I am so glad we did! My sister and I got a panna cotta each, and they were incredible. Panna cotta is one of my favorite desserts, and the pistachio panna cotta with chocolate...More

Since I previously reviewed this place, there appears to be a change of plan. The staff have all changed and not for the better and they now charge €5 if you want to sit at a table with a view. The waiter was plain rude...More

This place is beautifully furnished in art deco style and offers a taste of that opulent period. There's a tiny balcony with stunning view of the city and surrounding countryside. Cretainly worth a visit

We arrived to the town at around 17:00 and most restaurants were closed, and this one was open so we decided to try it. The service was excellent, and the food was not bad at all. The Saffron pasta was delicious! The only thing bothered...More

Ok view and interior of building is lovely. However food could be better and views alone will not pass the test. Service was slow.

Walking down the Via Voltaia New Corso in the morning, you will smell the pastries and maybe even the coffee. We came in here every morning of our visit to Montepulciano. Very friendly staff. Quick proud of their new espresso machine. I can't speak for...More

Stopped in thinking we'd have a sweet snack upstairs. Heard about dinner and was taken 'downstairs' where the view was fabulous. Understand, downstairs in a mountain restaurant is still well above the valley below. Ordered the Peppered Beef Stew and was treated to a fork-tender...More

Fantastic view and friendly service. Worth the extra couple euros to get the full service, sit with an espresso drink and some pastry, gazing over the views of the Tuscan fields below town.

Small, very cozy & excellent place! Enormously friendly service. Great dishes, meat, fish and vegetarian. Great wine selection and artisanale beer from the region!

Caffè Poliziano Historical Place of Italy. This spacious and elegant Caffè in the historical centre of Montepulciano is a fine example of Art Nouveau design. For generations visitors and local residents have been able to enjoi a glorious view of of the Valdichiana from the balcony. Distinguished guests have included Carducci, Pirandello, Prezzolini, Malaparte, Mario del Monaco, Giulietta Masina,Ornella Muti,, Mario monicelli, Marina Doria di Savoia, Enrico Rava, Mauro Bolognini, Giorgio Battistelli, Licia Colò.... In 1992 the Caffè was lovingly restored to its former glory. Federico Fellini, who visited the "Poliziano" soon after, considered the atmosphere and style to be worthy of a great Central European city such as Vienna or Prague.
