This was the meal I had been waiting for. After eating pasta non stop for about 10 days it was nice to eat some traditional tomato soup, and meat and vegetables. The food was delicious. The service was incredible. Very knowledgable about the wine and we let our lovely waitress choose the wine for us based on what we said... More

11 adults in our group were walking through Montepulciano looking for a place for dinner. We did not have reservations and it was a little later in the evening. One person from our group happened to walk up a side alley and found La Bottega del Nobile. Needless to say we had an excellent meal and an enjoyable evening at... More

We sat in the very basement of the restaurant which was a great setting but smelt very damp. The initial service we received in the bar was great but this deteriorated during the evening with the waiting really just ignoring us and serving other diners with Grappa at the end of the meal without us even being offered a taste... I'm in Tuscany with a group at least once a year. We always stay in Montepulciano as it's a good base for driving and when we are done for the day we can walk the wonderful town. Paolo, the owner of La Bottega del Nobile is almost always there, the staff is friendly and knowledgable and the food is as... More

We dinned inside to escape the heat and found layers of gorgeous architecture. The food, service and wine were equally rich. Only complaint was that we were pressed for time because of parking. I would like to have stayed longer.

This place offers ~60 wines in their tech-tasting system - from simple rossos to riservas. We had a selection of cold-cuts, OK but nothing too special. Wines were great and the staff engaged, helpful and very friendly. The tasting system and selection is great, but to take full advantage one should leave the car at the agriturismo.

We stopped here for a glass of wine. Good system. Wine is sold by tasting glass, half glass or full glass and opened bottles are kept in mint condition by a fancy system. So we had a few. And they have cold beer on tap for a "cleansing ale". We had some food but after all that booze I don't... More

Lovely drive up to the city center. Main thoroughfare is mainly on foot. Very charming city. This restaurant has a wine bar/shop upstairs with dining downstairs. Pleasant and attentive service. Great pasta dishes and some lovely wine from the local region. All made for a memorable afternoon. Recommend if you're stopping in at Montepulciano.

Went with a party of 8 (4 kids, 4 adults), dined 2 floors below ground level, was casual but nice. We were greeted with an amuse' of white wine, then had a fantastic sampler of Formaggio. Staff had GREAT wine recommendations. The venison ravioli, braised ox cheeks with pink pepper mashed potatoes, and pasta (pici) with Tuscan ragu were the... More
