We went there because it was one of the only restaurants open on a cold November night. It is a modern twist on tuscan food. Tuscan food is great, there is no need for a modern twist. The restaurant was quiet and the food and service excellent. They also had a large wine selection. The restaurant has views of old wine storage areas that was cool to see.

Magnificent! We discovered this gem of an restaurant only a few days before leaving, but ended up having both lunch and a dinner here. The food is fantastic, the wine (and knowledge about beautiful wine pairings - say yes to the suggestions the have!) remarkable...good and the service is impeccable! We require gluten-free food and this was no problem - lovely bread and pasta. By far our best dining experience in Montepulciano and the smiles and service really stands out together with the tastes and presentation of the food and wine. The food was very delicious and tasteful. The service was absolutely nice and helpful. The owner shoved us his wine cellar, and that was really interesting and fantastic. We had a wonderful evening. We can highly recommend this restaurant

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend at Talosa winery. He was right! Such an amazing lunch! The location was easy to find using Google maps and the food was delicious. I really enjoyed my tortellini filled with blue cheese and topped with truffles...and my husband loved his fussilone with pesto and zucchini blossoms. Perfect portion size and so unique. Not the typical Italian menu, which we truly enjoyed. Of course our meal paired perfectly with our Talosa wine and we appreciated the surprise dessert and champagne to celebrate our anniversary! Such a wonderful lunch! We enjoyed being able to talk to international tourists like us who enjoy being back in the world!More

We went for a dinner with my wife and a six year old boy. The place looks like really nice and fancy. However the food was not so good. I took a stake and the meat was good, but the meal was really small and...boring. Others took some pasta and it was cold and nothing really special. The staff was quite friendly but seems that they were too “busy” to serve. The guy just keeps telling how busy they are, even there was not so many customers. We paid the bill, which was super expensive. After we get back to hotel I read the receipt and realised that they even charged a cheesecake what we didn’t order at all. I’m really disappointed to this restaurant.More

I eat here four out of five days that I was in Montepulciano. The food was excellent and tasty. The best italien food I've had for a long time. The service and the people that works there was very very friendly. I got to taste...some nice wine and spirit too. I highly recommend this restaurant.More

The day we had lunch here we were the only guests, this nearly put us off, but we decided to give it a try anyway. We were so pleased that we did, it's a great restaurant, the food is really good, the service is friendly...and helpful and the setting is contemporary, clean and comfortable. I have no idea why were alone eating lunch here yesterday, but it didn't spoil a lovely relaxing meal and we'll certainly be going back. Thank you!More

Il Pozzo is a fine dining experience in Montepulciano. Service is very good and delivered in a elegant manner. The setting is very nice with good space between tables. The wine list is good. The food was good, but the portions are small for the...price. While this is a fine restaurant, note that relatively to the other restaurants in Montepulciano the prices are higher.More

Our first visit to Il Pozzo Montepulciano was for a late lunch right before the kitchen was about to close. The manager, Fabio kindly accommodated us so graciously despite our unfortunate timing, and our meal was so delicious we just had to return. Again, Fabio,...as well as the lovely staff and talented chef created an unforgettable feast for us with excellent wines to match. Of course while in Tuscany we had other nice meals, but Ill Pozzo was so special that we decided to return yet again for our last meal before returning home the next day, and we were delighted yet again. If I could, I would give Il Pozzo Montepulciano, Fabio and staff 100 stars. Grazie mille 🙏More
