We were recommended this restaurant as a "proper Tuscan not tourist restaurant" by our hotelier, and decided to try it as it was a little bit off the main path through the town. My husband and I love Italian food, my father-in-law will eat anything and my mother-in-law won't eat pasta, but will eat gnocchi. The menu was all in... More

This is a lovely, unpretentious restaurant with wonderful people serving a typical menu and the food is excellent.

We visited this restaurant twice whilst in Montepulciano and had really tasty food both times. We ate outside in what feels like a railway tunnel. Despite the fact it is tucked away it does get quite busy by about 8pm, but we managed to arrive at 7pm (the opening time) both nights and so easily got a table. Their pasta... More

We ate here on the last night of a week Italian holiday and unfortunately it wasn't a memorable experience. The restaurant had been described to us as basic 'wholesome' Tuscan food and that's what it was. We both had pasta entrees, tasty and plentiful amount but nothing to make it stand out from many other pasta dishes. My partner had... More

This was one of our best Tuscan meals- recommended by locals. The salad Nobile was delicious, and the pici was amazing! And the tiramisu was decadent!

Two locals recommended La Briciola to us and we were really glad they did. The food and the wine were outstanding! There are lots of touristy places in Montepulciano, but this isn't.

Excellent dinner with good wine at a good price! Often it's hard to avoid the tourist Trap restaurants in a city like Montepulciano, but this had authentic fare and good service. Awesome deserts too.

One of the many fine restaurants we discovered in Montepulciano, with warm and welcoming service. Actually dined here twice - enjoyed excellent pasta the first time and loved the chicken and potatoes the 2nd time. Great wine service. Great homemade desserts. Definitely will return when next in Tuscany.

What a nice surprise! This restaurant is family run and everyone is so helpful! The menu is in Italian only, but our waiter was happy to translate anything we had difficulties with on the menu. The wine was so good and reasonable. Even the owner was readily available to assist. We enjoyed it so much that we went back a... More

We drove from Rome to Florence and stopped in Montepulciani for the day. As soon as you enter the arch marking the entrance to the town, it' your first right. The service was spectacular, the food was outstanding. As a personal goal I had done quite extensive research in the Florentine steak, boy I'm so glad I did. I ended... More
