Slow service, ordinary wine which I would not expect in this lovation, cold dish (lamb meat) served. I would try something else next time for this price.

Just right is what my last three meals here have been...a case in point: I wanted a modest meal, almost what we could call 'Tuscan spa food" (if you could imagine such a thing). And here it was: perfect and delicate grilled vegetables, followed by a mixed grill of impeccably fresh fish (Friday's only, I think)--one whole miniature branzino (?),... More

We visited three times during our trip, the food was really good and service excellent . Laura does a great job of controlling your experience and the staff are very attentive. You need to book if you want to eat outside, it's worth it ! We will be back next year.

At 1:00 pm on a Sunday, I arrived without a reservation. I thought, for one person, getting a table wouldn't be a problem. There were two free tables on the patio just outside (one for 4 and one for 6) and two 4-tops on the patio across the street. There were also several free tables inside. I asked the young... More

We had dinner here one night on the patio. This place seems to fill up quite quickly by reservations. Fortunately, we were eating dinner fairly early due to the threat of rain, so we were able to get a table....out on the patio. Owners were friendly and accommodating. Our meal was very good and was reasonable.

Nothing particularly wrong with the restaurant. Pasta was nice but my wife's fish was a bit dry and the wine list was very basic. Lovely people and nice service

We luckily got a seat here on a Monday night without reservations. Do make reservations, though, as the restaurant was full! I had the delicious wild boar pasta and my partner went full Italian. His steak was really good, as was the pasta. The tiramisu for dessert was really good as well. I don't think you could go wrong here... More

I had homemade pasta with ragu meat sauce and my wife had pasta with a spicy sauce, both were excellent. We started with an insalata to share and it was a big salad with egg,s tuna, pomodoros, carrots, lettuce, radishes. For dessert we had strawberries in a lemon sauce. Another mela was meats and cheeses to start; spaghetti with clams... More

We were in Montepulciano mid May. We actually are here three times! We enjoyed the variety, quality and value of the meals. The staff is very helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed the bruschetta as an appetizer every night. The pastas were fabulous as were the pork and beef. They also had a very good wine selection.. One night they offered... More

Description
Montepulciano is a magic city which offers its visitors unforgettable memories. A steep, winding road will lead you to a medieval hill town with a wonderful view over the surrounding valley. L’Osteria del Conte is situated in one of the town centre’s main streets, near the renowned Sanctuary of San Biagio and ontepulciano’s Fortress. After several years of experience in enogastronomy and catering, Lorena together with her son, Paolo, decided to open this cosy little restaurant in Montepulciano, where you will have the possibility of tasting the genuine, delicious dishes offered by the Sienese cuisine.
