We came across this restaurant on by chance because the place we tried to go was booked for the night. We really enjoyed our meal! Mama conte came our and spoke in all Italian and we had no clue what she was saying to us until we heard another table tell her we did not understand in Italian. Good sign.... More

Apparently there is a bus up until 8 pm that you can take from the bottom of the hill that would have been a good idea for us since I am "mobility challenged" and it is a long way all uphill. But by walking we were able to enjoy the town and catch an impromptu musical show on the church... More

We dined here last night and had a great experience. My husband had the Steak Florentine - which was cooked beautifully - and they changed a pasta dish for me to my taste. We had a great, fresh salad and a nice Rosso as well. The staff and owners not only do their job effectively but with smiles and friendliness.... More

We All enjoyed our midday repast, the bruschetta(s) are amazing. The pasta dishes we ordered were beautifully presented and the meals taste and texture very rewarding. This was a retire visit after three years and still a delightful experience.

This place was recommended to us as a family driven restaurant with authentic Tuscan food. That seemed to be correct, but it didn't impress us much. To try some different dishes we ordered a set menu that also included wine. Neither of the four dishes impressed us. All of of them ok, but really nothing special. The Nobile wine turned... More

We asked the waiter to choose a wine for us and he naturally chose one of the (only) half dozen Nobile's on the list - and not the most expensive one - always a good start, as he said it was his favourite (something his Irish colleague later confirmed). The Caprese salad was made with "spicy" mozzarella and very ripe... More

Great local food, fresh fish at the weekends. Can sit indoors or outside. Good value for money. Located near the fortress in a pretty street.

We stopped here for lunch after walking up from Car Park 2 which at our age is quite a climb! The restaurant is opposite the entrance for the Fortezza Di Montepulciano and has outside seating on both side of the road. The food was excellent, I had Parma Ham & Melon & my husband had Pici Pasta with garlic, tomatoes... More

We ate in August, outside on a warm evening with the setting sun. Great food, wine, and service. Nice mix of locals, Italian tourists, and the likes of us. It was black truffle season, so the pasta al tartuffo was great. Highly recommend. Very reasonable cost. Great wine, but that goes for everywhere in Montepulciano.

We hadn't planned ahead with dinner reservations so when we stumbled upon the place, we were so pleased to be seated at one of the outside tables. Our service was excellent and I had, hands down, the best beef carpaccio of my life. And it's one of my favorite dishes. I also loved the hand rolled pasta (pici) with a... More

Description
Montepulciano is a magic city which offers its visitors unforgettable memories. A steep, winding road will lead you to a medieval hill town with a wonderful view over the surrounding valley. L’Osteria del Conte is situated in one of the town centre’s main streets, near the renowned Sanctuary of San Biagio and ontepulciano’s Fortress. After several years of experience in enogastronomy and catering, Lorena together with her son, Paolo, decided to open this cosy little restaurant in Montepulciano, where you will have the possibility of tasting the genuine, delicious dishes offered by the Sienese cuisine.
