I so love it when you just chance upon an amazing find around an unexpected corner and so it was with this restaurant. Fantastic lunch of chicken and roast potatoes for me and ravioli with walnut sauce for my husband and a (naughty) half bottle...of excellent wine each. Just perfect reallyMore
We have been staying in Montepulciano for 3 weeks and have tried a number of the restaurants here. This has absolutely become one of our favourites! After returning for a total of three meals, the food has been consistently excellent and the service very efficient...and friendly. The restaurant is nicely tucked away from the Corso, and both the outdoor terrace and vaulted dining room are attractive places to eat. Great value. Highly recommended.More
Just returned from a nice meal here. We arrived at 8pm and had not booked and we were pretty much first here but then it did start to fill up. Three us of shared crostini followed for primi and secondi. Service was good although a...little rushed at times.More
Sat in the lower level of the restaurant which is a cave the owners discovered after they purchased the restaurant. Antonella the owner gave us the history of Montepulciano. The food and service were excellent!
Beautiful place, food seems to be great.. We make a reservation for six people at eight PM. We wander through the streets of Montepulciano and end up a little late, arriving at the restaurant at 8.16 - to discover our table has been cancelled. ‘You...are late’ - is the simple statement. I try to explain that we are six (quite a big group to find replacement), that we did make a reservation, that 15 minutes is not scandalously late, but no: we’re asked to leave because we are too late. In short: don’t book here unless you are absolutely sharp on time. And don’t expect the waiters to be nice either - they were actually quite rude. The good news: many better options available in Montepulciano!More
What a fantastic restaurant just off the main track. Our family had a fantastic lunch served by friendly accommodating staff! Well worth a visit!
Found this little gem just off the main street of Montepulciano. Lovely terrace away from the many people, very friendly staff, good food and wine - let the staff recommend - had a local unknown but excellent wine. Make sure you visit the little cave...in the back of the restaurant where they keep the wine.More
Godimento sits behind the Main Street and is easy to miss. You have to look up the alleys for the “terrace” sign. Worth the climb up. Get there early or book ahead if you want to sit outside. The pici with truffles was excellent and...the pasta with Tuscan sausage was great. Good wine choices but expensive wine menu as most is half bottles. Friendly people and the evening was lovely. Easy walk up to Piazza Grande too for coffee.More
We ate outside in a beautiful setting. The food was excellent especially the carpaccio, best we’ve had. The staff were so pleasant and helpful , will be back I’m sure .
