Stayed in Montecatini for 13 nights in July and ate in this restaurant on 10 occasions and every meal was delicious. Real Italian food and extremely reasonable. Only slight problem is when it gets busy, usually after 8pm there can be a bit of a delay but this in no way should deter you from going. To sum up- great... More

We went three times in a stay of seven days. On the other 4 days, we travelled around to various towns in Tuscany or we might have ended up there every day for lunch!! Usually, we had a bottle of ice cold house white wine, a Pizza (Pizza Vicolo if you like them hot) and a seafood dish. Pizza bases... More

This is a family run restaurant with amazing food. We went there twice and each night the food was memorable. I highly recommend this place.

Have been coming to Montecatini for three years and we come here just about every night. Food is traditional Tuscan, especially the steaks done Fiorentina style. The pizzas are also wafer thin so not heavy, but delicious. You have to try the Tagliata Alla Manza, a steak done with rosemary and sage. It's the best steak you'll ever have and... More

Stumbled across Il Vicolo whilst exploring the town. Lovely food and prices were great. The people that run it are really nice, friendly and efficient, everyone that came got seated quickly. Would recommend.

Spent 10 days in Montecatini and stumbled across this family run trattoria on the second day. Excellent food, and a reasonable price. Both the house white and house red are great, no need to spend out for an expensive bottle. Lots of locals eat here, which is a good recommendation. It can get busy but they turn the tables around... We visited Montecatini Terme during the shoulder season (March) and many of the restaurants were not yet open. il Vicolo, however, was open for lunch and dinner and we ate there most nights (even after we discovered other places). This family-run restaurant has excellent food, wine, and ambiance. We started with pizza (delicious) and moved on to other "real" entrees.... More

A popular local spot. Lots of large groups. Family style service. There was a high school soccer tournament going on in town and there where quite a few families and what appeared to be coaches and team members. Making for a very festive atmosphere. the food was excellent. fresh fish, pasta and plenty of good wine. Very reasonably priced.

I ate here and found the food excellent along with the family run service. Louisianna the owner and the Chef her husband were exceedingly hospitable, and friendly. You can eat inside, calm and spacious atmosphere, or outside under awning or under the stars. Quiet with large court yard, very clean.

Menu is extensive and food was tasty and quite affordable. The place is run by a lean staff that provided great service. We enjoyed a lunch and a dinner and would have gone back again but thought to try other establishments in the area.

Description
This restaurant is extremely well priced with a great variety of good genuine Italian dishes. A Pizza oven where the best steaks are grilled. We enjoyed melon and Proscuito, Pizzas, Steaks, Risotto, Fish, all under 5 euros for Pizza and 8-10 Euros for Steak.we would highly recommend this Restaurant, less pricey because it's just off the main street- but much better than the most expensive. A covered outdoor area and a beautifully layer out area inside. The toilets are spotlessly clean and so is the restaurant with lovely table linen indoors for the same price as the covered outdoor area.
