My girlfriend and I were staying in a hotel nearby, less than a 10 minute walk. At first sight, it's not much to look at but wow the food and service makes up for the casual and relaxed atmosphere. Most folks look for the number the top 10 rated by travelers. Not us, we want to eat and drink where... More

After reading several positive reviews of Il Gatto Bianco (IGB), my wife and I decided to check it out. Well, if you're looking for a terrible meal, bland atmosphere and substandard service, then avoid IGB at all costs. If not, then the white cat of Tuscany is the place for you. The Fiorentina steak is arguably the best I've ever... More

We discovered this wonderful restaurante on the first night of our 5 night stay in Montecatini. Sent in this direction by the Regina Hotel staff, we were delighted to discover not only great food, and I do mean great, but also a fun and friendly staff. We enjoyed the food so much that we ate there four evenings out of... More

My niece and I ended up here very late one evening after getting to Montecatini Terme after a long drive from Parma. We checked into the hotel, and got lost finding this place (it is at the bottom of some stairs from a road...we missed the stairs so we walked much farther than we needed to. But it was worth... We enjoyed our dinner so much, that we went back a second time before departing Montecatini. The Steak Fiorentina was outstanding.

After a bad experience at our hotel restaurant I randomly picked this little trattoria about a 10-15 minute walk from the main tourist area. We had a darling waiter—Edison—in fact the only waiter and even when it got busy he was good natured. We asked him his name as we were finishing our meal and he explained that his ‘mother’s... More

My wife and I, having seen TripAdvisor reviews, strolled to this place slightly away from the centre. Well worth the effort. A very helpful and attentive waiter, excellent food, and real value for money. On the waiters advice we shared a pasta dish and a main course with veg etc plus a bottle of wine for €60, all really good,... More

Don't let the shabby entrance and cheap decor fool you. This is not only the place for the locals, but also for staff from other restaurants and hotels, which explains the peculiar opening hours. They should know what is good, and they do. The service is enthusiastic, even if their English is limited at best. Make sure your order is... More

During our holiday in Montecatini Terme, we went to several restaurants in the neighbourhood and this one is really the best, no doubt. The staff here is very friendly, they speak English and you feel that you're welcome. The food is really great and fresh. It's also a restaurant where the locals go and that's a plus!

This place is fantastic! Both beef and pork dishes we had were lovely. Cooked well ( med/rare) fried mushrooms were something new and amazing. Service was good, (great by Italian standards). The only downside is we got bitten by mossys. Not the fault of the owners but wear some repellent. All in all, a great restaurant lovely food and good... More
