Even the restaurant is empty that time, the restaurant owner doesn't care much about solo guest like me. I did ask for an English menu or some explanation of Italian menu. He just didn't want to give the service too much and propose a most simple/basic Italian food (but certainly not with simple price....) Salad is not quite fresh and... More

This was recomended by the Hotel staff for their seafood. The waiter was very helpful. He made a special plate of various grilled seafood and it was really great. Its not for everyone. If you want a great place and friendly staff and a oppurtunity to engage with some locals this is a great place.

We were staying in Mestre for a couple of nights, and out hotel recommended this restaurant on our first night, and we used on both the evenings we were there. The service on both visits was great, friendly and helping us choose from the extensive menu was a bonus, and it was no problem mixing stuff up, and not sticking... More

We have been in Italy for over 2 weeks, and this restaurant is by far the worst we have experienced. Our hotel recommended it for seafood, and another nearby restaurant was recommended for meat. We did not want seafood that night, but the meat restaurant had no tables. We settled for this one, and ordered from their selection of meat... More

Only 5 minutes from the Mestre railway station, this is a restaurant filled with locals, and serving reasonably priced and well prepared seafood. The two large gentlemen that waited on us were very friendly and gregarious. The seafood antipasto was a good variety of cold and hot choices and the seafood risotto was creamy and the seafood pasta tasty. We... More

We had enjoyed a superb lunch at L'Incontro (Treviso). It would be hard to follow a meal of that quality - but Da Beppe certainly tried! It was a much more informal place. We were welcomed by a very generously proportioned gentleman and then served by his jolly brother. The pasta was superbly cooked and so flavoursome (we shared a... More

My wife and I tried this place, despite the mixed reviews, and we were very pleased that we did. The seafood was fresh and reasonably priced, service was good, and the waiter spoke excellent English. A Canadian couple sitting next to us were equally happy with the food and service. We will definitey return before we leave Mestre.
