Be wary and always use trip adviser in Venice. There are so many bad places. This was our 3rd we looked up and it was great. Set menu 19E with carbonara, sea bass and a pudding. All great - worked out about 70 a couple with loads of wine.

We went to this restaurant since it was close to our hotel and had good reviews here. It was a disappointment and a regrettable food experience.. we both chose the escalopes of veal with mushrooms and what we got was dry meat covered with slimy sauce, no seasoning except for too much salt. It was only served with some plain... More

....given that it is on the main drag for tourists. The basic rule to go to a place that's full rather than the one that's empty, is also valid for Venice. The restaurant has a typical menu but we were happy with the food an service. Pasta and seafood, in combination with a good Italian wine is heard to beat.

After a very long day and grand ideas of walking into town to a little Osteria, I caved and walked next door. I wasn't disappointed at all. A true Venetian gem to be found and not missed. Impeccable service, food and wine. A very long pedigree of excellence. Try it.......

I had the Ravioli and thought I had died and gone to heaven. We sat outside which was little noisy but the food took the noise away. Our waiter was so much fun and was very helpful in telling us what the specials were and I still ended up getting the Ravioli

My family and I attended for a light supper of pasta. The spaghetti was very mediocre, but the ravioli was quite good, even though the portion was a bit small ( 3 ravioli's). Some bread accompanied the meal, some of which was a bit stale. We had to fetch olive oil and balsemic vinegar ourselves to be able to eat... More

We have been in Italy for one week and have been enjoying spectacular food, but this local restaurant 10 minutes outside Venice, in Mestre was the best we ate all week. We asked our concierge at our Hilton hotel to recommend a restaurant that we could take a taxi to, on our last night in Venice. He recommended Ristorante Marco... More

We were staying near the airport, and wanted to eat good Italian food without the trek into the city (and the corresponding prices). Marco Polo is well worth the trip and easy to get to if you are staying in the Mestre area. The chef/owner takes obvious pride in his cuisine and it shows. He is also the most gracious... More
