Antonio, the gregarious owner, who flits about engaging with every guest, is a big attraction here, plus the room is nice and the food excellent. Easy drive from Maratea up the mountain toward the statue, but if you are staying in the main town make sure you know the allowed driving route through Piazza Europa to return after 6PM, when... Just trust Antonio to suggest antipasto , primi piati and wine. He speaks good English and he tries very hard to please the guests. His food is very good. If you are fortunate as we were you may have a chance to meet his parents who prepare the food . They only speak Italian, it was a pleasure meeting them... More

We had seen the reviews of this restaurant before leaving the states including a mention of this restaurant in a review of the timeshare we stayed at. So it was on our list to try while we were there. So glad we did! We went there on our first night and it was fantastic. There was a large group of... More

We are a party of 10 and had this restaurant recommended by some travelers we met. We were welcomed and given royal treatment. This is a great experience for the relaxed and adventurous traveler. Out of the way, it is a hidden treasure. The best way to experience this is to allow Roberto to show you their finest. We had... More

I eat out a lot. The 1 ranking in the area is well deserved and rarely have I ever had a better meal. Antonio recommended we eat the food his mother had hand cooked that day and why argue? Everything from the beginning to the end of the meal was fresh high quality and cooked perfectly. And the deserts and... More

Gentleman was very proud of his food and where it came from, we were OK with this but we were some what told what we should eat, given local wine, not shown a list, food was nice but nothing more. From the other reviews, did not live up to expectations.

What a wonderful experience! Amazing host, such enthusiasm for local food, all locally sourced or homemade, including the wine! Fabulous time and reasonable priced. Go, go, go!

Near the Redentore statue, we arrival early and had the restaurant to ourselves. We has their antipasti that included their own ricotta cheese! The ravioli was homemade and very good and we ended up having their chocolate dessert which was terrific. We had a nice conversation with the son of the owners who also shared their family berry and fennel... More

Maratea was such a wonderful experience and Antonio made the dining experience excellent. The food was amazing, the service was amazing, and had a wonderful experience with the locals as well. Antonio even gave us a ride back to our hotel both times we were there and made us feel very welcome. We would love to go back and visit.... More
