So good we had lunch there two days running. Excellent food - the bruschetta, soup and the platter of air dried meat and cheeses were delicious and locally sourced. Lovely location, with an outdoor seating area on the small piazza overlooking one of the many beautiful baroque churches that make Lecce famous. The young woman who waited on us was... More

This restaurant was recommended by our B&B. We tried to get in last night--Saturday, what were we thinking? But they were totally booked. We went back tonight and were glad we did. Our server, Katia, took very good care of us. She even tolerated my stumbling Italian, although her English is excellent. We looked through the menu and decided we'd... More

There are three great things about this place: the food, the wine list and perhaps most importantly, the people. Firstly the food: the menu comprises simple food executed very well. We had bruschetta combining wonderful cured meat from the Puglian town of Martina Franca with a sharp, rocket crème (akin to a pesto). We also had a caprese salad made... More

Nice location on a small square with a view on the Chiesa di Sant’Anna. They are specialized in all kinds of bruschetta. Also they have some other small dishes and plates with Puglian specialities to share. We asked for an advice on the vino rosso. And they recommend a vino with a mix Negroamaro and Primitivo which tasted indeed very... More

This is our third visit to this lovely restaurant over three trips to Lecce. We have had excellent meals each time. Last night we sat outside and watched the passegiatta. I enjoyed the lasagna and my wife had a meat and cheese plate. Excellent service by Julia and Simon. Try this restaurant.

Our last meal before heading back to Rome and really glad we found this place. Staff were great and the owner / manager spoke great English. I recommend the Witch's Chopping Board - with the best selection of meats I have had in Italy ever. Great wine selection and funky little place. 5 star all the way.

This restaurant is a gem in the hearth of Lecce. I ended up here casually while wandering in the old town. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, explaining us everything about the food and the wines. They also helped us to match wine and dishes, quire rare these days. The food was excellent,... It is rather a wine bar than a restaurant, that's why it is even more disappointing to get 2 different types of wine glasses and you have to wait ages for your drinks, although very few customers around. Me and my girlfriend ordered a bottle of Brunello - and after a while, another waitress checked if we really ordered the... More

In this restaurant we had the feeling that the staff was unhappy when we entered and did everything they could to strenghten the feeling they would love to see us leave asap. Food was ok, but in such an ambiance you don't want to be. Shame on u Cantina!
