If you like cosy family run restaurants you will love this one.Situated on a quiet narrow side street away from the hustle and bustle. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful even to the point of discussing some of the dishes on the menu. We ate there twice and the food was simply divine. The medalions of pork in... More

Because it was a little later in the year and outside of the tourist season, the pretty outdoor seating around the nearby courtyard tree was not there and we took a seat inside the fairly plain and uninspiring interior.  The waitress was friendly but spoke little English, although she knew enough to translate the main ingredients from the menu and... This is a nice restaurant specializing in fresh fish, and seafood. Everything that we had was nicely done. The zucchini lasagna was wonderful, as was the pasta with clams and bortaga. Of particular note : the chestnut and mushroom mousse was amazing!

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel owner and is situated on a side street near and to the rear of the Church of St Irene. During warm evenings the restaurant occupies a site directly across from the main restauarant kitchen near a church. Hence you can have an al fresco dinner. Staff, menu, wine and service were really excellent and... More

This restaurant is just perfect for authentic regional cooking and a friendly and genuine welcome right off the cathedral square in the heart of Lecce. We booked a table because it seemed a good bet and weren't disappointed. The front of house lady and the waitress were delightful and very informative and the food was the best we found after... We went to this family run restaurant last evening at the recommendation of our Velotour guide. This is a lovely spot, in a quiet square under beautiful trees. The staff is hospitable and attentive. Everything we ate was fresh and delicious in the local style of Leccese cooking. I had the tuna steak, fresh and grilled to perfection. My husband... More

My friend and I had a late dinner at Arte dei Sapori while on vacation in Lecce, Italy. The restaurant's service was outstanding, the food recommendations were good, and the special pasta for that day was just delicious. My favorite dish was the carpaccio de tonno (tuna); the fish was so fresh and tasty!

We loved this restaurant. The outside seating area is delightful: the tables are not too close together and the narrow street is not busy. The owner / manager helped us to select from the Italian menu – and invited us to see the fresh fish in the chilled counter. All the fish looked good quality and fresh: in the end... More

Off the beaten track, this family restaurant proved to be a welcome retreat from the busier parts of the city and we were lucky to get the last table under the shade of a tree in the courtyard. The waitress was amiable and helpful, confirming that the menu items we were considering were free of animal products. We had two... More
