We ate dinner here (family of four) and due to a big lunch that day did not order lots of food, but what we did order was delicious. I recommend you book as the place was full.... mostly of locals. Luckily they squeezed us in without a booking. The daughter speaks good English and was very welcoming. Her brother cooks... More

we ate dinner here one night , and it was the night Italy were playing football so it wasn't full. Had a lovely meal , the parmigiana was the best we had in all our time in Puglia. I don't know where some of the other reviews get there ideas from , we didn't feel this place was "marketed" at... More

Our local historical city guide recommended lunch here and he was right on! The food was delicious. Get the typical dish here Ciceri e tria which is boiled and fried pasta with chic peas in a sauce. Absolutely to die for. Owners are friendly and accomodating and speak English. Thanks for a great lunch!

The food was delicious but the deserts were divine. Do not miss any of the choices on the menu! The place is not big but it is very clean and has good service.

This warm, cozy, and casual restaurant is truly a family affair. Mama (Rosalba de Carlo, aka La Maestra) is the culinary genius. She has written cookbooks and is known all over Italy for her authentic Salento recipes. Her daughter is the self-proclaimed "interpreter," speaking very good English. One son has now taken over the kitchen and another is the wine... More

Went in for a bit of a late lunch and it was quiet. The waiter doesn't smile all that much, but luckily, the hostess - who I'm guessing is the daughter of the chef - was a bit more welcoming! They do have a menu in English, and I chose ciceri e tria, a half-fried, half-boiled plate of pasta with... More

Typical Italian restaurant with a simple but delicious local cuisine. Small and cosy in the heart of the old town of Lecce. Excellent pasta and vegetables dishes. Reasonable prices and very friendly service.

We loved this fabulous family run Ristorante in Lecce. Traditional Salento food at its absolute best! We enjoyed two nights eating here - we loved it so much the first night we had to go back. The octopus is to die for! If you really want to eat traditional Puglian meals you have to dine here. Great friendly service, excellent... More

I traveled all over southern Italy and this is by far the best meal I had. The fried vegetables, the pasta, the special dish of pasta that was "half fried, half boiled," the delectable meatballs in both meat and vegetarian variety. Everything was absolutely fabulous. On top of this, the restaurant owner, server, and manager were the most delightful parole.... More

Waited for a table for over 15 mins in the cold, not invited inside (hinted to stay out if anything). Made eye contact with waiters but was ignored in multiple instances: took over 10 mins to even have water. Many waiters and the owners around us but not paying attention. My calamari were pretty much tasteless and small (and 13€)... More
