We popped in for a gelato - the usual choice of flavours but also some interesting and different ones too (I had the chocolate with orange peel which was very good). The cakes looked stunning!

Natale is fine, it's an ice cream shop. It's nowhere near having the "really bad" ice cream one reviewer claimed, but all the glowing five-star reviews don't reflect the place either. It's convenient and right off the tourist splat that is Piazza St. Oronzo so...you're going to either get lazy "I've been there" reviews or people just publicly trying to validate their vacation ice cream choices. Go a block east to Martinucci's, and get a taste of exceptional gelato. Sure, it's still in the tourist zone but you can tell a lot by the fact that the locals are sitting on the steps in the afternoon enjoying the treats and you can see Senior Martinucci hand-shaping the gelato in the window for all to see. Still, I go to Natale--I owe it to them for the tongue-in-cheek poster of the most famous pastry in Lecce: the pasticciotto. I laugh every time. The ice cream is as expected in Italy. Good and creamy. It wasn't the best I ever had (could also be the choice of flavor), but it certainly wasn't the worst either. The pastries looked amazing. Shame I didn't try those.

Lots of flavours to choose from but really bad quality ice cream with artificial flavours. I wish I had gone to sensi.

Our family is ice cream lover, we tried ice cream every where, best ice cream in Milan, Florence ,Rome every year, and also other countries. until I try this shop ice cream in Lecce, I found out this one is the best, 10-15 years ago...my favourite ice cream is in Milan which I went back every year once or twice and have it for brunch , tea time and supper, unfortunately the taste now change and can not compare to the one in Rome especially with this one in LecceMore

I can understand why our guide told us this place had the best gelato in Lecce. It was the best I ever had anywhere, and the price was very reasonable. The girl at the counter did her best to explain to me some of the...flavors and was kind enough to give us sample tastes. I finally settled on Mustazzoli---so, so good. She gave a generous scoop and then brought me a Mustazzoli cookie---a house specialty. One friend got pistachio gelato, the other got a chocolate sorbet with chips of chocolate. We all agreed the treats were wonderful. Pastries and chocolate candies made me drool as we sat eating our treats. The proprietor/manager (?) brought us a a couple more samples, including apple marmalade squares. A great place that I can't wait to return to.More

This was an almost nightly stop for us! Wonderful gelato, friendly smiling staff, just off the main piazza. Recommend highly.

Top quality gelato✨💫💖 strawberry and dark chocolate were sublime. Two scoops are enough unless you only want to have ice cream for lunch.
