Good Italian Food

I liked the warm welcome here as much as the food, coffee and cakes. Yum. All in the best Italian tradition. The restaurant is in town so no pretty views but if you visit Imperia it is a good food stop!

I have had the pleasure of having dinner at Salvo Cacciatori's 3 times in the last 2 years & each time has been wonderful! This restaurant has been in the family for years and the owners are still very hands on making sure that everything is perfect! Excellent quality of food & service! On the higher end price wise but... More

Restaurants don't usually have the life expectancy of people. There are myriad reasons they disappear. But Salvo Cacciatori has been serving the people of Oneglia and its visitors since 1946 and possibly earlier. While much of the culinary activity in the city today is along the waterfront, Cacciatori elegantly soldiers on not far from the train station, just behind the... More

The service was good, the wine too (surcharge 100% over retail price). The food? Mmmm... The check? Above the standard.

The owner, Ricardo Calvi is THE example of hospitality combined with great food. Don't choose fom the menu, askl him to let him decide. I think it is the best restaurant in town regarding freshness and regional cuisine. I had diner with a larger goup. Always one complaining. The way he handled that, awesome!!! Just go there, enjoy and tell... More

I had the pleasure of eating at Salvo Cacciatori twice during my stay , the week of June 10th while in Imperia ... It is an elegant place with truly great service and food. On both occasions I ordered fresh catch of day that the owner brings on a tray..... Grilled fresh fish is something that I enjoy and being... More

Last week had lunch (Wednesday) and family dinner (Sunday) there. This place always fulfils my expectation as to what a local restaurant, rooted in tradion and blessed with young talent, should aim for. The presence of the owners in the kitchen and at the table guarantees 100% creativity, quality, responsiveness and satisfaction. Just go there and engage with them on... More

Good food and welcoming staff. It was busy on my first visit, so I sat in the new extension at the back, but ate in the main restaurant on the second occasion. Food was delicious and the stock of half-bottles of wine was perfect for a single diner.

As the name suggests this local has been famous for hunting food. Now you can eat also sea food. I remember several years ago the atmophere of the restaurant. It is still a good local, with very kind and elegant waiters. Some dishes are excellent. We have ordered some cruditè, with raw shrimps, and scampi. Price is adequate.

Not bad, the food is OK, traditional Italian from Liguria with a (pretty limited) twist and the service is professional and friendly. The decor / interior design a tad too old style and "bourgeois" for my taste. Price is reasonable, but could be cheaper, if you know what I mean... If you're around, you won't regret, but it's not worth... More
