We ve been a few times. Gorgeous location in the middle of the old town, outside a few tables...desirable..though inside the decor is ok. Very friendly always ..food tries to deviate from the standard Tuscan norm..though they do the standard stuff pretty well. The tagliata and the pasta are fine. Wine reasonably priced. Overall delightful.

On beautiful evening sit out on the covered piazza in the main square of the old town and enjoy this five star service. We were a little early, around 8pm, and easily found atable. Later the outside tables filled fast with a combination of tourists and locals. The meal started with a complementary glass of Prosecco filled by a beautiful... More

I have only been here once so take it with a grain of salt but I didn't find this place as overwhelming as many have written here. Everything they brought was fine, even good, but somehow not spectacular. My pasta with broccoli and sausages was really very good but very salty, a little too much for it not to be... More

We wandered Chiusi looking for a place for dinner and arrived at Grillo Buoncantore. Pleased that we found it. Very friendly service and the choice of pizzas is large, and reasonable, and the house wine is quite good. We were in the small front room but there also seems to be much more seating hidden way so don't be concerned... More

The food in this restaurant is unlikely to disappoint. The young chef is part of the "slow food" movement and the resulting meat is deliciously tender and perfectly prepared. Plenty of interesting taste combinations. The restaurant itself is very traditional, and the tables outside looked onto a pretty piazza. I was with my family and we visited this restaurant on... This restaurant is very closely tied to the Slowfood movement which means they use local artisanal products, and the owner can talk for ages about where all their ingredients come from and how they are grown or produced. We ate an amazing array of starters, pastas made from all sorts of grains, and meats ranging from rabbit to local Chianina... More

We came here for lunch after visiting the Etruscan underground sights as its conveniently located near the museum. They were very friendly, and we got some prosecco and fresh bread with olive oil as soon as we went in (apple juice for the kids). The antipasti for 2 was spectacular (see picture). The menu is quite varied, and has a... More

The chef/waiter's halting English and our poor Italian made for an interesting game of understanding. A fun evening trying dishes we'd never tasted which turned out to be delicious. Worth the adventurous effort.

The food and service was great. You can tell that they use good quality local ingredients which is exactly what we look for when traveling. We thought they had misunderstood us when we asked to share the local meat and cheese platter appetizer because when it arrived it was very plentiful but when the bill arrived we indeed were only...
