Food was pretty good. The menu is only in Italian which made ordering a challenge. Some of us ended up wanting to switch meals once the food arrived. For instance, the spaghetti is nothing like "American spaghetti". It was very good and fortunately the person who ordered meatballs was willing to switch. The sampler platter appetizer was great. Could have... More

We stumbled upon this place while driving around the Chianti Classico region. Beautiful location among the vineyards and right next to a medieval church, welcoming staff who were lovely with our small children, and absolutely delicious, uncomplicated food. Excellent wine selection as well.

Worth the side trip on the way out of Florence. We stopped for lunch on a grey day, mid-week- totally empty but a warm welcome and a fantastic meal awaited us. The place got a few more patrons during the meal and seemed popular with locals. They are apparently v busy in the evening. Marco is a great host and... More

This is place is fantastic, really simple Italian food in a most amazing setting. If you can go for dinner as they have the sunset in the evening over the Chinati hills, beautiful!!! The waiter Marco was so friendly and helpful in recommending the wine and places to go wine tasting afterwards. * Bring bug spray to ensure you don't... More

This restaurant offers fresh, delicious food and a nice atmosphere. We liked it so much we ate here twice and it was some of the best food we had in our two weeks in Italy. The t-bone steak is huge and the cut is controlled by the butcher so you get and pay for what is there, but it's delicious.... More

So nice to have an unaffected simple extremely good place. All of the food is excellent. Small choice, high quality. Great view. The only negative was they didn't answer there phone to book. We went on a Sunday at lunch abs it was nicely busy.

We happened to spot this place as we were driving along and decided to stop for dinner. We were not disappointed. Really delicious food. The gnocchi with pistachio pesto was great as was the local pasta.

We went often to Uscio e Bottega. The cuisine is fantastic and Patrizia makes you feel at home. The pasta dishes are amazing and also dessert. I love gnocchi with pesto Uscio e Bottega style. If you are in the area you must have a meal there.

A local guy from San Donato recommended this restaurant. Very simple, tables set with cheap cutlery and paper napkins which is surprising in Italy where you don't find that even in the simple restaurants. But what's more important, the food is great and the service is very friendly. They have no menu, they cook different pastas and soup every day.... More
