The choice of foods was made of international dishes - the dover sole was actually very special - all original and tempting and the MC made the meal all the more enjoyable!

Very nice dinner and the great knowledge of the local wine choices. Overall lovely dinner - not really suited for small kids but the staff made it work perfect.

I enjoyed dining at Elephant (I stayed at the hotel) especially in the summer evening (July) when the day is very long and the weather is good. The food surprised me: modern, light, very flavourful. The service is very good, too. Wine list: extensive with great options for mid-priced Alto Adige wines. Reservations are a must and you should ask... More

Called in on the way to the Dolomite Passes for coffee and Strudel. It was lovely, the staff were pleasant and well organised and the pastry was beautiful (Coffee wasn't bad either). Well worth a visit!

While the setting is rather old school, the food is top notch and simply brilliant. Service is discrete and professional. Comfy outdoor terrace. Hint: go for the lamb, it simply doesn't get any better than this!

We have had lunch or dinner here many times and it is always fantastic. What is fresh and in season is the focus of the meals served. During white truffle season the "Elefante" serves wonderful pasta or risotto. While the menu is great, the specials are just that, special. Always enjoyable and beautiful.

The atmosphere was lovely. The food was generally very good. list was extensive and perhaps a bit overdone. WineThe disappointing feature was the spottiness of the service. Expensive.

In 1551 the King of Portugal send a special gift to Kaiser Maximilian of Austria. The trip went from Lissabon to Barcelona and from Genua to Vienna. The gift was an elephant caught in India and guarded by soldiers and attendants.. By taking the Brennerpas they get stuck for more then a week in the snow in Bresanone. The landlord... More

I have long been a fan of the South Tirol Region of Italy and especially of the area between Bolzano (Bozen) and Bressanone (Brixen). When I think of dining in this area, great local wine, traditional cooking, and cozy wooden rooms with ceramic ovens come to mind. The restaurant at The Elephant Hotel has all this but so much more.... More
