Excellent food and service in a very unobtrusive way. Mostly piemontese wine list. Ambiance is really special, very relaxed.

If you are interested in food you have to visit Bra and this restaurant, where The slow food consept started. We had lunch in The garden. Tasting meny, 36 euro. 5 courses. 3 different raw meat, zuccini flawn with tomat sauce, great tejerin with butter (pasta), veal and potato AND the dessert, panna cotta. The best ever, Even better than... More

This restaurant is situated in a courtyard and you feel like you're eating in someone's backyard vs. a restaurant. The servers were very friendly and knew enough English to explain dishes and recommend wines for us. After several days traveling in the region, we're getting a bit tired of the same foods on every menu, but we all agreed the... More

We enjoyed lunch outside after visiting the farmers market in Bra. We tried a range of dishes - from tajarin to a stuffed onion dish. You can tell there is love in the food and they pay a lot of attention to the ingredients and the preparation. There isn't a lot to see to get a sense of the slow... More

The No 1 restaurant on Tripadvisor and I can see why - pleasant courtyard location, innovative menu and well prepared food. Maybe it just was just not quite to our tastes - everything was good - menu, location, service, food and wine - but not much more than good. We also found it expensive - the previous night we had... I was so excited to visit here, the home where Slow Food all began. The courtyard is just gorgeous, especially in the spring when we visited with the giant wisteria hanging all around it. The menu sounds delicious but we opted for the plate of the day or lunch special (whatever you want to call it) Servings are quite decent,... More

This is cooking in the Italian way. Very good quality ingredients are used and then make pure dish by using the right skills. No hocus pocus. Also the wine is very good. Quite some choice in wine by the glass, at least one of the all important Piemontese wines. All for a fair price (30-40€ for a menu piccolo or... More

In the cour of what seems to be an old farmhouse in the small town of Bra a nice and well conceived restaurant with typical piemontese cuisine and delightful recipes. Well prepared old recipes adapted to the current expectations of light meals tasty and well balanced. Nice personnel and good distance between the tables favouring a relaxing conversation

We had the menu when visiting Bra in October. what a very nice town by the way. The number one restaurant in Tripadvisor so we were delighted that they were able to serve us a magnificent lunch. Enjoyed every last bite of it with wines to accompany Great quality of food and well worth the pricetag

We were eager to experience food from the birthplace of the slow food movement. Upon entering their beautiful courtyard, we were disappointed as their prices were a bit beyond our budget. After explaining our dilemma we were invited in for an appetizer and wine. We wished we had stayed for a full meal as the appetizer of raw meat was... More
