Returned after two years, was astounded by how good the food is. Yes, more expensive than a pizza restaurant, but this is about eating well and drinking well. Look out for Alessandro who is a great barman. Very hard to fault this place......if your lucky...the owner is often there who is warm and friendly and eager to please. I have been to Garage Nardini on a number of occasions and every visit is better than the last. The freshest seafood, the creative style with a touch of Asian influences, and the knowledgeable staff make for a winning combination. What I like about this...place is the cool vibe I get here. There is a sense of harmony. The staff really like working here and are truly proud of the food they put on the table. The atmosphere is light and un-stuffy, and lets go back to the food: the delicate tastes, the tang of the sauces on the raw fish plate, the originality of the lobster and radicchio pasta... Although the menu is small, all dishes are interesting. We had an amazing black cod and really fresh scallops. Modern atmosphere and smiling faces, what else for a great dinner ? Also a excellent choice for an aperitif .
Had the most delicious lumch here and were extremely impressed by the excellent attentive service and attention to detail. The food is exciting and fusion italian, not something you find often in Italy, so it was a delightful surprise. Would highly recommend dropping in.
Very modern beautiful restaurant with excellent service and a top chef. No bad elements at this restaurant. We had a spectacular lunch here. The chef is a food artist. I would recommend it very highly.
The first night in Bassano my husband and I went for a wonderful dinner party where the host preordered our dinner and from the cocktails (Mesa Mesa, martinis etc) appetizers (grilled octopus & oysters) pasta and entrees were so well done and service was impeccable....We tried many nice restaurants in town but this was by far the best. They also have a cocktail/ coffee bar, outdoor tables /lounge and an outdoor area for music/theatre purposes and parties. Retail sales shop offers all the delicious Nardini Grappa products and a great spot to purchase a gift or something to take home for yourself! My husband and I loved The Garage so much we went back for dinner the next night to try the Tagliatelle, Tiramisu and the Panna Cotta and all fabulous. The proprietor Antonio Nardini was there to welcome us! A very charming little city with a chic and hip restaurant with the warm and friendly hospitality of the old world!More
This new cocktail bar is super cool. You feel like you could be in Manhattan. The bar is in an old garage, there is indoor and outdoor space and it is beautifully appointed. If you want to mix with the cool Bassanese set then this...is the place to head to. What's more the drinks are from the Nardini range and this is Italy's oldest and most famous grappa distillery. Don't be scared when you see the menu: ask for the business lunch. Honest food and amazing value. Don't forget to have a mezzo mezzo before starting....waiters speak English and are knowledgeable and pleasant. Perfect for a loooooong lunch....
