When we got to Acqui Terme late Wednesday afternoon, and after checking into our hotel, we went out for a drink. I asked the bar owner where he would go for dinner if he went out and he suggested Nuovo Parisio. It was closed but...we went the following night. It was an excellent suggestion. We began with asparagus flan and stuffed peppers. Nicolo, the young chef, presented the peppers in a way we'd never seen (since coming home we've copied his idea with great success), ravioli with meat sauce and light elegant cannelloni. We drank a very good white Arneis and an excellent Barbera di Asti. A bowl of fresh strawberries and a sablione with chocolate sauce rounded off a delicious dinner. By the time we left the restaurant was full. Lots of laughter, lots of oohing and aahing when the meals were served, the service was impeccable. Flavio, the head waiter and his colleague, kept everything under control. The young chef/owner, fourth generation, is to be commended. He is running an excellent restaurant. Whitebeard83More

We enjoyed a truly memorable meal here with Italian friends on a busy Saturday night. The service was excellent and the food was some of the best cooking we have enjoyed in years. All home made and following recipes created generations ago by the family...of the current chef/proprietor. The bill was a pleasant surprise as well. Most reasonable. Looking forward to another visit soon.More

We arrived in the late evening in Acqui Terme and were searching for restaurant. Our B&B owner recommended us this place. The food is really impressive and the wine - Luche rosso went really well with the food. Highly recommend this place if you happen...to visit Acqui Terme.More

Definitely the best choice in Acqui Terme. The gifted chef Nicolò took over a long family tradition with superb decision. The quality of the food is excellent and the composition of the Piedmontese dishes highly agreeable. The vine card is impressive. The restaurant is located...on two floors, upstairs you will find a beautiful elegant room with large round tables, downstairs you can enjoy the more cozy cellar. The service is very friendly and professional. This distinguished restaurant is well worth a visit during your stay in Acqui Terme.More

What an experience ! I choose this restaurant with the help of the tripadvisor comments and I have to say that it even deserve more and better reports. For me it has been a great dinner with some outstanding dishes like the Cardo with Fonduta...and egg, as an entree, and bollito misto as main dish. To end with berry's Tiramisu: I do not know what to say: try it is very very good. Thanks to the young but very experienced Chef and owner. I will certainly come back, but remember to not forget to make a reservation.More

It was the second restaurant we tried in Acqui Terme, and the second time we had to wait a while to order dessert... Being a Monday night, a lot of the other restaurants were closed so we ended up here. It has a nice and...cozy atmosphere, the sommellier is very courteous and knowledgeable and we enjoyed the food selection. A large group came in just before we ordered, so even with two waiters attending the tables it got a bit confusing when they started delivering the food to the group. It took the staff a while to get back to the other tables, so we waited some time to order our desserts, a while more for them to be delivered (without the glass of wine we had asked with it) and some more time before we could have the bill and pay. It's probably worth asking if they expect groups to dine on the night.More

All the dishes we had were excellent but the service was really the best part about it. We had had three course lunches earlier in the trip and decided it was way too much food. So when we asked to share the vitello tonnato starter,...and then have a main course each, our waiter offered to divide all three dishes between two plates. This effectively gave us a three course, antipasti - primi - secondi, lunch for half price. Along with some great wine and overall friendly atmosphere it's hard to fault this restaurant.More

This restaurant has changed location in Acqui Terme to a place with more ambience, which is really positive. It is the former place where I Caffi had their restaurant. Also the old ladies were not in the restaurant this evening. I miss them, but we...had a very nice and motivated male waiter, who was eager and happy to tell us all about the food and wine. The chef is the younger generation of the family and he serves well prepared Piemontese dishes from mostly locally grown produce. We will be back for sure.More

My wife and two grown sons and i visited this little pearl of a restaurant, it is newly opened last year by a young chef who really knows his italian kitchen. the owner dosnt speak that much english, but his waiter speaks it very wel...and helped us translate the small but very variatet menu. The food was excelent and especially the cruda monferretto (steak tartar) was magnificient. A really good wine card with both some of the great clasic of piemonte but also very reassenble priced. It was so good that we went there twice in our 2 day stay. Absolutly recomendbel.More
