Never doubted that this is an excellent place for a meal experience. The place (as written in my previous reviews) is inside an abbey and can imagine how beautiful experience could be dining in the loggia during the beautiful season. This time we had a...Piedmontese style veal tartare (14,00); sweetbreads (13,00); veal tuna (13,00); risotto with turnips (15,00) and the boiled beef (18,00) but this time no more colorful sauces… their dessert, that I praised so much (crema alla Moncalvo 8,00) was just OK… Bill this time at 109.00 paired with the quality, service and place offer… Time and things change!More

I ate there twice on my recent trip to Acqui Terme. The first time was in the fancier side. The grilled octopus was amazing! The wine was wonderful and the sommelier was knowledgeable and accommodating. Two dishes were plenty for a meal. Beautiful setting and...helpful, caring staff. A fair price for such a great meal. Around 50 Euro including wine. The second time was in the Pizza Parlor part of the restaurant. Same kitchen. Same wine. Simpler menu. Delicious pork, salad and wine. Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this restaurant.More

We read the reviews and expected it to be busy on Friday market day. Located alongside the cathedral and in a courtyard and on the first floor it is a quiet haven. We had not booked but a table for four was no problem and...a high chair found fir the baby. Set lunch offered sea or turf. Good value and good food. Service was excellent and sitting out on the terrace overlooking the courtyard on a warm day was very welcome.More

This restaurant is relatively hard to find but there are signposts. 8 of us turned up late one night and were treated to a fantastic meal in an excellent atmosphere. One of our group is a professional chef and said he was extremely impressed with...the standard of the cooking. I ate a squid ink risotto which was sensational, and then had the best tiramisu I've ever had. The price reflects the quality of food and service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends or family.More

exceptional service coupled with good food, what more can you want? Portions were generous, so much so we couldn't finish our 'secondi' of steak! If you want a great meal, in pleasant surroundings with warm and friendly staff look no further. would definitely visit again.

Quite challenging to find this place, but at the end extremely please for the location, the tranquility within the city center and the friendliness of the dedicated and passionate restaurant owners. This restaurant offer a range of local fresh products and a fantastic wine list...with specialties from the close Piedmont region. We recommend to order Risotto or Pasta with fresh truffles, a real delicacy.More

We had a lovely meal at this restaurant. Tables are outside on the balcony overlooking the square, which is a really charming set up. The staff were really friendly. In particular the veal Milanese was exceptional. We didn't make a booking and just turned up...which was fine.More

My wife and I went to this place based on the many good reviews - what a disappointment. My main dish (secondo) was chicken and it was dry, grey and hard. It seemed as if it had been pre cooked and re-heated in an oven....My wife had tuna and it was the same experience. Considering the high price level, this was very disappointing and probably just one star. The wine and one of the starters were ok so I give it two.More

Amazing view of the Duomo, great food, wines, and service. One of the best restaurants in Acqui Terme. Highly recommend!
