Group of 7 people on a Sunday afternoon. One wheelchair user too. However there are four steps at the front that wheelchair users somehow have to tackle. Our wheel chair user can walk a few steps so,this was OK but a fully confined wheelchair user could not eat or drink or drink here. Food is average pub grub. Service took... More

Dropped in here when we visited Charlestown. Got a table easy enough at 6.00 pm on a week day. Got really busy after that - had to turn customers away. We were told the wait on food was 45 minutes, but we waited about an hour. Food was lovely when it arrived so worth the wait. Cooked to order -... More

What a great choice we made for dinner when we visited Charlestown. We received a warm welcome from the staff and the food was delicious and good value for money. My husband said it was the best fish and chips he'd had for a long time and my tasty chicken pie had a plentiful supply of meat. The drinks were... More

We where in Charlestown and called in for lunch, friendly welcome and the food was lovely a lot better than normal pub lunches, we had two lunches off the specials board and three off the normal menu, everyone enjoyed what they had and the portions where just right, my 7 month old grandson made a right mess but it was... We arrived in St Austell Cornwall tonight just after 7pm. Our host of the guest house recommended Charlestown. I was told it took 45 minutes to send a taxi, so I just drove and parked in the pay and display car park. At the bar, we were told that there was a 45min wait on food (which was better than... More

Although the atmosphere in the pub is pretty sterile, the food is reasonably priced and the service is pretty good, so its worth a visit if your in the area wanting a casual night out with a couple of pints!

Lovely Pub, had a very nice Sunday Roast, which I could not finish, so much of it, staff were friendly and polite, very clean, and in a beautiful setting, will be back.

As a bit of a curry snob I am always a bit sniffy about the idea of pub curries but I was very impressed with the vegetable curry I had at The Harbourside Inn. Whilst it was clearly not authentic Indian cuisine, I enjoyed it as much as if it had of been. An extremely tasty homemade curry, nicely presented... More

The Harbourside Inn has an excellent location, next door to the Pier House Hotel, and offers a very good evening meal alternative to the Hotel's restaurant. It has a pleasant bar that is frequented by locals and offers an amiable atmosphere. The menu offers a range of possibilities and choices made by our 'foursome' were all excellent. Friendly and efficient... More
