A lovely meal in a very friendly restaurant

Family of four, two young(ish) children (6 and 9). We were staying nearby and decided to eat here on our last evening. Sillans had been very quiet so we did have a chuckle to ourselves when we were advised to book. We entered the restaurant at 7pm and it was ghostly quiet. We were greeted... read more

Stayed at Les Pines hotel so ate at the restaurant two cold nights in September. Made the mistake of asking waitress what she would recommend and ended up with a plate of type of ham, nothing else !! Had to order a plate of salad to accompany it. Have to give 48hrs notice to order the fish stew a specialty of... More

We had an excellent lunch here, the menu du jour. The starter had three plates on it, the main course was a large piece of chicken with sauce, the the dessert was a delightful mousse with a brandy snap tuile

Whilst visiting Sillans-la-Cascade we decided to have lunch at Les Pins. We were seated in the covered restaurant which was fairly empty. There was one menu of the day which included the main course of steak tartare. The alternatives to raw meat we're a gazpacho soup and pasta salad. Considering the kitchen didn't really have to cook much on the... More

We were lucky to arrive on a day when fish was the dish of the day as I do not eat meat and there is only one menu. Lovely setting, multiple starter - soup, salad, pasta. Then superb fish on a bed of chick pea mash. Incredible value for 16 euros! Very good experience.

We had been told this was a good place for lunch and one day our timing was right so in we went to their lovely patio. Our french being very bad we were concerned about choosing our entree when the waiter explained you get them all! And sure enough out came four wonderful treats. Penne, gazpacho soup, toast and ham and... More

We were very very impressed with the delicious food and fantastic ingredients. I would have given five stars but my chicken was slightly pink and made me unwell that night only. I'm sure this would have been a one off. I would visit again.

We have been coming to this restaurant for the past twelve years as we live in the area and during that time it has changed hands several times. Last Sunday 4 friends and I booked a table and ordered the 'pot au feu' (a sort of bouillabaisse with fish, shellfish and vegetables) which we have had many times before and... More

Went here the other night for a friends birthday whilst on vacation The waitress that greeted us was rude and unhelpful as she showed us to our table outside in this almost empty restaurant. The worst part however was undoubtedly the food. Stodgy, messy salads, sloppy ravioli with a wet unpleasant sauce and tough dry fillet steaks made for an... More

Last day before the end of our holiday and just time to get Les Pins. Not always wise to go back but in this case it was. Three delicious courses, imaginative and wonderful flavours. beautifully cooked lamb and vegetables that were fresh and not 'messed about with' just perfect. Attentive service, relaxed setting what more could one want? - -... More
