Unbeatable Beef in an exquisite surrounding; the restaurant is underground in natural caves, typical of the area meant to store cereals, wine, oil etc. Frankly a singular experience of lifetome.

This place was recomended by some friends and we couldn't be more happy of having followed the recommendation. We booked via website and promptly got the confirmation message. After driving directly from Andorra on our way back to Portugal this stop was like a stairway to heaven. From the attention of the staff, the bodega environment, to the incredible wine... More

I came here in February to try the fixed menu that included some Japanese fusion. If it is offered again in the future then I definitely recommend trying it. The experience reminded me of DiverXO minus all the extra wowness and for much less, 85euros a head. All the plates were delicious!! I've never ate ox meat besides oxtail in... More

Go with a group, of at least 4, perhaps 6, to share the memory and respect the Ox you are about to consume. Premium Ox, and amazing sides, paired with a wine list of Spain's greatest, make this an experience of a lifetime. I am grateful.

Tasting one of the best chuleton 'premium' in curious place (the restaurant is a basement cave) with good wine inventory. We ordered 2kg premium steak for 4 adults and 3 kids..awesome lunch

Although there are some good qualities about this restaurant, overall this was a great disappointment. The waiter seemed to take it personally when I asked for the meat to be cooked (it is served almost raw, slightly browned on the outside). It came back rare and my plate bloody. The waiters attitude toward me was rude, verging on humiliating. I... More

Dinner stay for three, with introduction in kitchen where they prepared the meat, with guided tour through the underground (former bodega barrel store) restaurant including the special private dining rooms and the wine cellar. This it was just the beginning...! The starters were mouth watering and absolutely tasty, the sides (vegetables roasted on charcoal, typical land bread) were setting the... More

Saw the movie "Steak Revolution", and had to see the place for myself. Unassuming at first sight, but you will be amazed how beautiful the place is. Had the prime Chuleta. Simply amazing. It's beef like you never tasted. Cured ox was a treat, and dessert was sensational. Go for the yogurt foam/saffron ice cream thing. Delicious.

I'm usually skeptical about places that are heralded as "world's best" and the like, but after experiencing a piece of el Capricho beef at a restaurant in Barcelona, I was sufficiently intrigued to convince 4 friends to make the journey from Amsterdam to Leon, Spain to find out firsthand how good el Capricho's beef and ox really was. In short,... More

Like many before, I read the reviews in Time, the guardian etc and decided to give this a try since we were going to be not too far away and it appeared to promise one of those rare, not to be forgotten, experiences. And they certainly made good on the promise. The locale is almost grotto like inside with convivial... More
