The reviews are very good. Mine too! Point of Sale menu at 29 € excellent from starter to dessert. The one at 42€ l is as much with more sought-after dishes so a little more expensive. Small ovens for aperitif, small dessert very nice and beautiful wine list. If I had to mention a small negative point, the bellows gd marnier which was beautiful with its tangerine ice quenelle but without gd perfun gd marnier.

We decided to take a 10 mile trip getting to this little gem of a restaurant, by bicycle, that is!! A tiny little village overlooking the river and one little unassuming little restaurant in the centre. We booked a table for a lunch and arrived at 12 and left at 3!!!! Brilliantly prepared and presented. The flavours were clean and fresh and the dishes looked like they belonged in a Michelin starred ‘gaff’ There must have been 6 tables and the lady at front of house dealt with everyone very efficiently and without any panic….she was very enthusiastic too. An authentic little French restaurant with a few quirky features including the glass floor revealing a wine cellar below. The food was delicious and looked so tasty even before we tucked in. Definitely worth a visit….

Tucked away on the pretty church square overlooking the Saône, an inn just the way we like it. Very friendly welcome, tasteful decoration and everything is there to have a good time. Magnificent sweetbread and snail tartlet, pot-au-feu-style Bresse chicken stuffed with magical morels and divine Grand Marnier bellows. There are some wonderful gastronomic moments and I admit that it was Bravo to the chef and the service I will come back eagerly

Passing through the region for my travblog, which I didn't want to honor, we stayed in a very average hotel not far from here, with a meal that was nothing extraordinary. We came here thinking that we had to eat well, not in a restaurant, but in our hotel! ! !!. A simple aperitif that I don't even remember, my fish swimming in its cold sauce was funny. Dry poultry the rest of the dish too sweet ? ? ? ! !!! !!! it was so sweet it was disgusting I finished madame's it had gone soft and the price of the meal was simply exorbitant for the simple quality of the food and a few vegetables for rabbit I'm not game in short a slightly disappointing experience. That's all there is to say The place is a bit old-fashioned and uncomfortable I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a good meal in a good atmosphere at an affordable price.I thought we could sleep on the premises and eat

I highly recommend this restaurant to enjoy tasty dishes. The service is impeccable. The choice of menu was: starter, main course, dessert for 42 euros. The dishes presented were very good and quite hearty.

Excellent evening, spent at 4, in this establishment that we wanted to discover, on the occasion of my birthday. We were not disappointed. We simply enjoyed ourselves. The menu is varied, the products are quality, the welcome is extremely warm. A big thank you to the whole team for this great time. It will be a pleasure to come back!

If you want to enjoy top-quality regional cooking, this is your stop. This restaurant is a haven of peace in a quiet little village. The dining room can accommodate about a dozen tables, and all the food is prepared from scratch by the owner who prides himself on treating his guests to the best local food that the region can produce. Prices are reasonable and service impeccable. Well worth a small detour if you happen to zip by on the nearby A6 highway.

Enjoyed this local spot quite out-of-the-way with the truly sophisticated chef in company of family. It is a great spot for an upscale yet simple and truly local experience. As it is local, all the products are local and you won’t find a variety for those who are not into the French dining experience. Saone river classics are a must. Enjoy !

Restaurant was open on a Monday evening, which is rare in these parts outside the tourist season. Although our first visit, we were greeted like old friends and once seated the Chef introduced himself. The menu has something for everyone and a wide price range depending on the depths of your pockets. Previous reviews have described the wonderful food so I will only agree, delicious. The restaurant is in the center of a beautiful village untouched by commercialism and well worth a wander afterwards if it’s lunch.

We said in our last review we'd be back and we were. Another great meal!! I had the Gratinee d'ecrevisses to start, while my husband had the homemade fois gras. Both were fabulous. I then had the Coquille St. Jacques in the most lovely, mild, curry sauce. My husband had the pigeon again, of course. He still thinks it is the best pigeon he has ever tasted. This chef has a real knack with the pigeon. We still enjoy the fact that the chef prepares a number of different fresh local vegetables that are often hard to find in the more posh restaurants. Every course was great and we loved all the little extras. The chef came out and spoke to us after the dinner, which was so nice. Our French is only average, but we were able to have a nice conversation and the chef remembered us from the previous year. So I will say it again. We will be back. Please have the pigeon ready!!!! Thank you.

Sunday lunch in an agreeable ambiance with a menu at 33€ for 3 courses or 38€ for 4. Snails in a sort of cassoulet arrangement made for a failry uninspiring entrée but the main courses, viz., a Choux farci and a bread-crumbed swordfish were beautifully cooked. The cheese trolley is modest but choice and the pain perdu dessert was exactly comme il faut. A local red wine from just a handful of kilometres away, Macon-Mancey, was excellent.

Had a fabulous dinner here last night. After nights of very rich food at 1 Michelin star restaurants, this was a welcome change. Very fresh ingredients highlighting what is in season and lots of vegetables with the main course, which is unusual in French restaurants. My husband loves pigeon and has eaten it many times, but he felt the pigeon served at this auberge was the best he has ever had. Nice wine list, heavy on local burgundies. The wine cellar is located below the dining room and can be seen thru a large piece of glass in the floor. Also a small but well chosen cheese tray. Price/ quality is excellent and made for a lovely night out. We will be back!!!
