Very kindly they put up with our request for late (2.30) lunch for 6 (+ toddler) and even then we all arrived later. Excellent service, unusual dishes and warm welcome. Lovely ambience, thoroughly recommend.

We have eaten many times here both when Stephen ran it and more recently with the new tenants and whilst Stephen is a hard act to follow the quality service and value are as good as ever. Don't miss out on this destination.

We were here for a birthday meal. The weather meant we could not eat out as planned but the hostess made every effort to accommodate us inside, although the dining room does not really lend itself to large parties. The menu was extensive with plenty of opportunity to try different foods. The service was extremely good, and every plate of... More

We last ate here in 2011 and were seriously underwhelmed. A group of us went for lunch, I having forgotten the earlier experience. The menu looked short but attractive, and between us, we ordered most of the dishes on offer. They took a long time to come (all cooked fresh, to order - should be good then) but though they... Olde worlds atmosphere, great ambience, excellent menu and food, faultless service. Could not recommend any higher. Narrow roads to approach the village, but worth the effort.

Walk through its quaint garden into an oak beamed, low ceiling Pub. Very friendly greeting on arrival, as is the service. The quality of the Locally Sourced food is excellent. The Dishes produced are eye-catching and mouth watering - definitely tickle your taste buds. Dog friendly Pub with good car parking facilities. Definitely worth recommending and returning to. Not to... More

We went for lunch today with two very big dogs. We couldn't have been made more welcome, water and dog biscuits were supplied but more than that, the staff were a delight, the human food was spectacular and the beer (for him) cider (for me) was just right. Just right for a sunny bank holiday afternoon. Thoroughly recommended.

Description
A lovely old half-timbered pub in gorgeous countryside 8 miles SE of Hereford and a few miles from Ledbury, Ross and Malvern. Run by chef Stephen Bull. The pub's food is sourced from local ingredients, and there are cask ales and local cider and perry. The Butchers runs regular special food and wine evenings (dates posted on website). Large garden with stream for nice days, two roaring fires in the winter. Separate room bookable for parties. Family and dog friendly. Warm welcome.
