Situated on the loop head peninsula I recently had lunch in the long dock after exploring the local area. The pub is warm and cosy with a fire lighting in the corner. They really emphasise the local seafood here although the menu boasted other options for meat lovers. The chowder had an excellent depth of flavour and their grilled fish... More

Had a beautiful meal here on Friday night. Homely intimate dining area and very personal and friendly staff. Mary is an excellent host and knows a lot of her customers.

We were over the weather and driving and just happened by this pub. Really friendly service. Great food. Wonderful chowder!! And the BEST Irish brown bread. Nice fire roaring - very welcome!

Visited this family friendly restaurant on a very busy bank holiday weekend. The staff were welcoming & engaging & went out of their way to accommodate the young children in our party despite how busy it was. Where do I start with the food? Our large party all tried different options & each & every dish was delicious, the fish... More

We have a home about 30 mins away from TLD and take friends there on a regular occasion as the food and atmosphere is excellent. In an area where the food movement is growing, this is a wonderful spot. Yes there is sometimes a wait but go for a drink down the street or take in the harbour or castle...... More

We were seated quickly & given menus - but that was the last we saw of any speed. We were seated for about 15 minutes before our order was taken, even though a waiter passed us about 10 times. It wasn't overly busy the day we were there for lunch. For starters we got mussels and chicken wings. The mussels... More

A little off the beaten track but a great pub and food. Very popular with locals. Slightly odd experience of having to order our drinks and food sequentially rather than at the same time? The waitress wouldn't take a food order until she had returned with our drinks!

We were advised to go there, and im glad we took the advice. Genuine irish atmosphere, warm and cozy interior. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. I cant forget the mussels (probably the best i ever tasted, big bucket of fresh mussels, could probably eat them without stop) and the seafood chowder, the crabs and prawns and... More
