The best food experience in Istria ever. Sandro is a wonderful host serving delicious home made meals for a decent price, 'spicing' it at the same time with a tactful sense of humor. Visiting this place next time in Istria is a must!

What a pleasant surprise!

On our way back from holliday we stopped at Konoba Toncic. We really wanted to visit the place because of its reputation and everything good i heared about the restaurant. A very kind and great cook welcomed us and asked if we had an resetvation (we did not) and i told her that we came from Slovenia just to visit them. The restaurant was full and she could easily send us away but she didnt. They managed to find us a table - we were very grateful (we had 2 hungry kids in the car). Been around Istria for years now and tried different istrian konoba, but this was something special. Everything was very tasty and homemade. From the first till the last plate. Cold appetizers (local cheese, salami and prosciutto), creamy garlic soup, homemade pasta with truffles, steak and dessert. Kids were very happy with their homemade “elder tree” juice and pasta. The whole experience was amazing. All the waiters and cooks were very polite in kind to us. Definitely coming back again.

Wonderful people, wonderful food. Orjela and Sandro will make your visit unforgettable and you will feel nothing but joy, happiness, orgasmic food and excellent homemade wine. Even Sinatra himself, singing at the corner of beautiful terrace, could not make experience any better than it already was. O&S, thank you for everything, see you soon!!

Well worth the trip

We couldn't have made a better choice to escape a rainy, gloomy day. Country-style decor, warmth of the fireplace and mouthwatering dishes were more than worth the trip. I'd especially recommend "fuži" with truffles. The pasta is homemade, of course, and it's prepared to perfection. The garlic soup was also delicious, as were the homemade ravioli with cheese and mushrooms. A definite gastro highlight of our Istrian trip.

Jako lijepo i ugodno mjesto. Hrana je odlicna i opravdava reputaciju koju ima konoba. Usluga je na nivou, konobari su nenametljivi i veoma priistojni. 5+++ Izgled i lokacija konobe u pravom Istarskom stilu. Veoma lijepo iskustvo, sigurno se vraćamo. Very nice and cozy place. The food is excellent and justifies the reputation that the tavern has. The service is up to standard, the waiters are unobtrusive and very polite. 5 + Appearance and location of the tavern in true Istrian style. Very nice experience, we will definitely be back.

A treat for meat lovers!

I would say: the best restaurant in Instria when it comes to meat. The atmosphere, the owners & the food are a 10/10 with stars. Anyone who thinks they know good beef hasn't been to Toncic yet. For grilling, I only order expensive meat from sustainable organic free-range farming online, but the quality at Toncic (meat from our own farm) takes the whole thing to another level. Other dishes such as eggs with truffles, truffle pasta etc. also taste excellent. We come here every year and it is always a pleasure. Many thanks to Toncic and the entire team for allowing you to experience a treat here every year at an absolutely fair price!

Family owned restaurant located on the hills of Istria, with stunning scenery and sorrounded by nature. Service is great, attentive, professional and gives the charm to the place. Food is delicious, typical home cooking with touch of finesse. Fantastic place.

PERFECT! We ate an appetizer (prosciutto, cheese, pancetta, salami), garlic soup, main course (beef cheeks, lamb, fiorentina, boar sausage), exquisite homemade bread - everything was excellently prepared, from start to finish! Staff very helpful and nice. The space is beautifully decorated and clean. For every recommendation! Well done!

For those who love Istrian cuisine

We were celebrating a birthday and we had already been, and this time too we were very satisfied. Typical Istrian cuisine, everything at the highest level from the cold cuts, to the trio of first courses and the meat dishes, all served by the owners, always friendly and helpful, on the terrace with an enchanting view of the valley. Excellent quality-price relation. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.

It's not the first time I go here to Tončič and as always a guarantee, from the mixed starter of cured meats and cheese, to the omelette with Istrian black truffle, to the tagliatelle with truffle and pork coppa with truffle, not to mention the desserts always very good. The staff is always very friendly and approachable. It is advisable to call and book in advance. We will definitely be back because it's really, really good.

A place out of time with superb food

If you want something special far from average restaurants this is THE PLACE. For me the best konoba in the Istrian region. The food is simply superb and Sandro is the man who put the finishing touches on everything. The ambient is warm like at home with small details in wich you lose track of time and enjoy pure pleasure. I will come again and again.

If you want to taste natural,great domestic food than you must visit Tončić. The taste and smell of food is like it was long time ago,in some better times when food was natural and healthy, and also prepared with lot of love in nice ambient. Owners are very friendly,so you feel as you come home. Strongly recommended!

Very nice location. Peaceful. Beautiful garden and interior of the building. Very friendly and smiling staff. Excellent food, from home-made pasta, excellent roast beef, special home-made desserts. Prices, like everywhere in Croatia in 2023, a bit too high. I recommend visiting and dining at this agricultural tourism

This is a place in Istria to go. Homemade food that you feel immediately. Nothing pretentious - but all with tastre and served by the family directly. They love what they do - and we loved what they did. From the beginning to the end. Istria with full heart.
