This was our first visit to L’Atelier, we went on Sunday evening, having reserved a table for 8pm, Michel seemingly was rushed off his feet as several guests seemed to arrive at a similar time, the service was a little slow, however the food and...(house) wine were fine, I had the risotto for my main, which was delicious, but extremely rich, so much so that I could not face eating dessert. My wife had the coconut curry, which she seemed to enjoy.
The restaurant, which is also a B and B, is quite small, but set in a lovely position in Mecina, most diners are placed in the street directly outside the restaurant, which is fine.
The problem for me is that as we were staying in Pitres, the return drive from Mecina, although only a few kilometres is hair raising as it is pitched black, the road is narrow and unlit, with barely room for 2 vehicles to pass, be warned.More
