We love to visit Mecina and walk in the area and 5 years ago we ate in this wonderful restaurant .The gentleman at the time looked after us really well. 5 years later and we got a warm welcome from the owners daughter who is...now running the place . The same eclectic mix of photographs and posters adorn the walls and the music makes for a very relaxing atmosphere . The menu is extensive but it was pizza we were after and we ordered a Corona pizza and a Mecina from the menu . It was late afternoon and we ate inside as it was cooler out of the sun. Excellent pizza . We enjoyed our visit and learnt of the fathers retirement . I can say this restaurant has been left in good hands with his daughter. We will certainly return.More

We went to the Mora Luna almost every day for drinks and some meals. Great value, super tapas and when we stayed for dinner, fab pizzas, meat dishes and salads. Could not rate more highly for authentic family run bar and restaurant

We stopped in after an early afternoon walk collecting chestnuts with our two friends, our son and ourselves just before 4 and were first told by the chef/owner that there was only pizza available which was totally fine by us. Then we were told by...the waiter that lemon chicken and chips was available as well as a special oven-baked provolone starter, which was then withdrawn as an option because the boss had said so. So we all ordered pizzas even though one of our friends really wanted chicken and chips so asked the waiter to ask again if if was possible to have chicken. We were happily surprised when the waiter returned and told us there were 4 chickens available, so we ordered two and took two of the pizza off the order. When the food arrived we were all eager to tuck in as it all appeared very appetising in a rustic sort of way. The chicken breast was well cooked, and the vegetables of courgette and aubergine were very tasty. The pizzas were both exactly what they claimed to be on the menu with one being the 'Don't Kiss Me ...' pizza having a very good amount of garlic in the sauce and the other vegetarian one having some of the tasty courgettes and aubergines on was excellent. We finished the meal with a couple of coffees and shared two home-made tiramisus which were again excellent with not too much sweetness they helped finish the meal off in extremely satisfied style.More

... for a late afternoon drink or a simple dinner. Host is charming and the service is A1. Well worth a visit, especially if staying at the nearby B&B Sierra y Mar.

We've been going to this bar/restaurant for 2 years. Beautiful views from the outside tables set on both sides of the road. Good live music on occasional nights in the summer. In winter it's a little cramped in the restaurant area. Don't let that put...you off their fabulous pizzas. There are also fish, meat and vegetarian dishes which we haven't yet tried because we are still working our way through the extensive pizza menu. A family business with efficient, friendly service in a thoroughly peaceful location.More

Was recommended by host where we stayed, it is situated. In Mecina, which was a difficult drive, returning in the dark, as the local roads are twisty and very narrow, but the food and drink are very good, the service excellent, we sat outside and...the views are spectacular.More

We had visited this bar/restaurant about 10 years ago, and had always enjoyed it. We were pleased to see that it hadn't changed too much, although it was much busier. Stunning setting, friendly staff, reasonable prices. The pizza's were good, lots of choice. Recommended

Lively cafe bar with excellent food. I'm not a pizza fan but the ones served here are very good. Usual Spanish beer selection. In winter can be rather chilly as the stove was out when I called.

We stopped here for lunch and sat out on the small terrace - we had a fantastic lunch of salad and homemade pizza with a spectacular view. Great friendly service in what is a family place. We went bak in the evening for drinks and...(free) tapas.More
