Nothing much here in Calosso - except this wonderful place to eat and drink! Fabulous view, wonderful food and wines, authentic to the region, all lovingly served by Sebastiano. This is a great little oasis - modestly priced - seek it out!

Grazie mille a Sebastiano - the food was great, the atmosphere lovely and with you as a host- fantastic! The homemade food was delicious with the perfect wine to pair with! The barbera d'asti is now on its way to Switzerland

It needed persistence to find this restaurant right in the centre of Calossa. Selected the tasting menu and a unique grape variety local wine with helpful advice from our host. Everything very enjoyable and in such a wonderful setting outside with views across the surrounding vineyards around us.

This is one of the restaurants that you'd miss if you wouldn't be an insider or an "out of the box" traveler! Located at the small village of Calosso in the little known region of Piedmont in Italy, the Crota'd Calos is an unpretentious and yet a truly authentic Piedmontese restaurant where you'll get what you're looking for... good Piedmontese... Sebastiano and Patricia are always on hand to make a visit to the Crota memorable. The food is homemade and the wines are all local. It is our local favourite.

Over the last eight years I have been to "La Crota" many times. This restaurant doubles as the official town wine cellar, showcasing the wines of all local producers. The beautiful brick vault in the main dining room creates a wonderful atmosphere. The talented chef, Patrizia Piccino, has just been formally recognised as one of the top cooks in the... More

Excelent restaurant in a small village in Piemonte, not far from Alba. When it seems there is nothing around (specially at night when I was there) suddenly. a wonderful place is just in front of you. Delicious food and upper class service by the owner, Signore Sebastiano. Just loved it !!

We arrived there one hour later, but that didn't seem to annoy the host. He seemed very busy, being the only one who served in the restaurant. Even so, when he came to you he spoke very friendly. My husband had first ordered a wine which he than wished to change with another, and the waiter did so without feeling... More

Having discovered Crota D'Calos a few years ago we return each time and are always pleasantly surprised. The drive to Calosso alone is a joy and the view over the surrounding area is just divine no matter what time of the year you visit. The restaurant is decorated in local Piedmontese style and also hosts the wines from the surrounding... More
