Such a great burger place. Luckily managed to catch it on the last day of their season. Great staff, great burger and great chips! And yes, better than Fergburger!

We usually go here every year while on holiday, the burgers are huge, food is great. Not cheap but a burger can easily be shared by under 10's because of the size and the chips are nice

This food needs to be tasted to be believed. Out of the way Fergburger from Queenstown these burgers are the real deal without the fancy hype. I've had both and I'd easily rate The Fat Tui as the best so far in my travels within the South Island. There is no pretentious about this food as it is great especially... More

Fat Tui was recommended to us as a definite must eat place and they were not wrong. The burgers are fantastic. There is a good variety on offer. I had the fish burger. It was delicious. Lots of juicy, fresh fish and a stack of fresh salad. Fat Tui is set back off the main road inside a cute little... More

My girlfriend and me ate a lot of burgers all over New Zealand and this one is definitely one of the best! It makes Fergburger looks like McDonald's!...

I was advised by the people at Marahau Lodge to try this place and it did not disappoint, quite possibly the best burger I have ever had. Had the mussel patti burger and it was divine. Cool little caravan and the nicest most personable staff. Try it!

Nestled amongst the ferns, in an old bus, the Fat Tui could be easily missed. BUT NEVER SHOULD BE. Outdoor seating at tables, pour your own sauce, delicious chips and wedges with lashings of sour cream and sweet chilli. Heaven. Oh wait the burgers. OMG the burgers. SO BIG, so fresh, salad, perfectly cooked meats (or vege options) cous cous,... More

Locals had recommended this place for a while and I never got around to try it until last Monday night. Admittedly I must say it was one of the best burgers in my life. Rich, full of flavour and fresh ingredients made this burger epic. Can't wait to go back for more. Btw, try their kamara chips as well, not... More

Just another burger place, you may say. Half right, it is a burger place. However, they serve exceptional gourmet burgers. We discovered the Fat Tui by recommendation and so glad we did. Whether it be beef, fish, bacon & egg, etc. is your passion, you can't go wrong. Loaded with meat and plenty of salad. The service is great too.... More

We visited twice. First time we had a fish burger and a veggie burger. Both really nice, with heaps of salad which we really enjoyed. Sunday evening was busy, so took around 30 mins to cook and collect, so beware this is a busy place! Second visit we both had the veggie burgers, as they are great. We visited early... More
