We had happy hour drinks after a great day out on the water taxi exploring Abel Tasman. Staff were really friendly & lovely. Great beer garden area that has a relaxed atmosphere. We were staying across the road in the Marahau Beach Camp & already had our dinner organised. The food did look great & I asked if I could... More

Found this on the recommendation of BellBird Lodge. Warm and inviting on a very rainy evening. Dinner was very good, local seafood offerings, good wine, great staff. May be hard to fine but worth the effort.

We enjoyed our meal here with tasty food and really pleasant service. Did find it to be pretty pricey but good quality at least.

After our 3 day kayak adventure we were more than ready for a long cold drink and our paddle guides recommended the happy hour at Hooked. We enjoyed a cold beer and a cold coke before our bus ride back to Nelson. The outside deck gave us a nice view of the beach. The place was busy enough to be... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at this beach-front café with indoor and outdoor seating. The fresh hokie fish & chips were delicious and light. The menu offers something for everyone in the group and all parts of our meal were very tasty. This place is popular and we were lucky to get in without reservations. I would suggest reservations, if... More

Great place to have a craft beer and a some fine food after a day on the Abel Tasman Coastal Track. You can sit in the garden or inside. Happy hour between 4 and 6 pm. Friendly staff. Next to information centre and campground.

Description
Hooked on Marahau is a cafe and beer garden located on the Marahau waterfront; 1.5Km from the start of the Abel Tasman National Park's Coastal Track. Hooked has arguably the best view in the area with vistas across Tasman Bay and north along the Astrolabe to Adele and Fisherman's Islands in the Abel Tasman. We serve cafe style breakfast and lunches with barista coffee and homemade baked goods. We also have a daily happy hour from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Dinner is bistro style with local wines and locally brewed craft beers.
