Does get very busy so there may be a delay, but service is friendly and good. Portions are often enough for two (normal) people, particularly the salads. Nice cool place surrounded by water fountains. Reasonable prices and good traditional food.

The service after we ordered was extremely slow, 45 minutes until the first plates arrived. I dont know if it was a coincidence or a daily routine. Food was acceptable in taste, big quantity for all dishes, and normal prices.

I have been to the restaurant with my family and some friends. I am absolutely impressed with the service as well with the food. The choruatiki-cretan salad was massive. We also order a plate of mix grill. It was a trip to paradise. All the plates was delicious. The atmospheric of the restaurant is magical. I will be again for... More

a traditional familly tavern with typical Cretan cuisine, not gourmet of course. Meat, meat, and meat. SAlads, small dishes of local tastes. All fresh, in big portions. The Greek salad is huge (for at least 5 persons) and costs 5,5 euros, If I am right. The pork steak is huge and costs 8,5 euros (delicious), etc. Shadow under platans. Easy... More

Staying at nearby Kalyves, we dropped in to this local taverna for dinner on our way back to Kalyves. What a good choice! In Armeni there are less tourists, and on the night we visited we were in fact the only non-Greek or Cretan diners. The village priest was there and many other locals. The food was tasty home style... More

It's my first and last place to eat after I arrive and... More

Arrived late on a Saturday night but headed down to this lovely restaurant. At 10.30pm it was till hot enough to sit out in the lovely courtyard enjoying the water fountain and balmy Greek night. Stifado was delicious and the calamari huge and fresh. Portions were very generous and we took the left overs home with us for lunch on... More

Came here on our first night in Armenoi, after locating the door (it was a tad difficult to find) we were warmly greeted and seated. The waiter was knowledgeable and happy to give recommendations. The food is delicious and the portions extremely generous. When it came to the bill we were given free dessert and raki - a truly superb... More
