Great Menu

11 of us visited. We arrived right at 6:00 pm with no reservations and were seated within a minute or two. Four people ordered the butterfish and said it was outstanding. Three ordered the fish sandwich with coleslaw and said it was delicious. One ordered the turkey burger which they said was very juicy. I ordered the chicken wings appetizer with Barbeque sauce which came With 10 large chicken drum sticks and wings. More that I expected. They were fabulous. Very Juicy and tender. One ordered Chili which was very good and another ordered a haddock dinner which they said was good. The service was a bit slow because there was music and dancing outside in the breezeway and they were extremely busy. We were inside. Our waitress kept coming and refilling our drinks and kept us apprised of where we were in the delivery que. we were all very happy with service and food. Definitely will return

Our First Time

We chose this restaurant for a get-together with special friends on Friday evening, 09/25/20. We arrived promptly for our 4:00pm reservation, and were seated immediately. Our Server was Ms. Royal, who was Excellent. I ordered the Pot Roast and a dinner salad. My meal was fantastic. The ladies both ordered Pecan Crusted Salmon, and a dinner salad; their meals were Very Good, but not Great. Our other friend ordered the Stir Fry and a dinner salad, and he devoured every piece. The Pot Roast and Salad came to $14.99; the Encrusted Salmon and Salad totaled $17.95. The restaurant has a Happy Hour, so two Yuengling Drafts cost only $2.50 each. Our total bill for my wife and I was $40.60, and we left an $8.00 tip. We will definitely be back again.

Excellent Lunch

Enjoyed a delicious lunch at Bonifay Country Club today. My Southwest Chicken Salad was yummy and my husband enjoyed his perfectly cooked medium rare Carolina Burger with crispy hot French Fries. Crystal our service took excellent care of us. Their bonus summer special, until September 30, 10.00 for any regular salad or handheld sandwich with the purchase of a beverage just made it even better. Ask for Crystal, she will take good care of you.

Lunch with a golf group

Atmosphere was great and happy hour drinks were good. However, I had the worst mussels I ever had in my life. They were not meaty and not seasoned at all. Just steamed it what I guess was plain water and served with a little cold chopped tomato on top. My husband ordered the chicken wrap and what little chicken he could find was again bland, not seasoned. He felt wrap was 90% spinach which is not one of his favorites. Was our first time there and rushing to return.

Obnoxious Manager

I came here with 2 Guests and were seated on the Patio. They were NOT busy. It took 20 minutes for the Server to come for our Drink order, another 20 minutes for Flatware and Menus. Another 20 minutes for the Dinner. After all this I asked to speak to the Mgr. on duty. He comes to our table and asks the problem. As I politely share our experience he abruptly dismisses my comments with a rude response and says, if you don't like it, don't come back here anymore !!! I was shocked and wondered how many other people has he treated like this ? NEVER EVER going back there. Daniel E. Skidmore Summerfield, FL.

Consistently delicious

We frequent this establishment basically on a monthly basis and have two favorite servers. This particular time we had a larger crowd and had John. He, like our favorites, did an outstanding job. Unfortunately the evening we were there, they were out of pot roast at 5:30pm. What????? Their pot roast is soooo delicious so I got my second favorite, pineapple glazed shrimp. The glaze is out of this world delicious. Just wish there were more shrimp bc I am still a bit hungry after eating the entree of rice and broccoli. A dinner salad probably is required to have me feel full or their tuxedo bomb for dessert which it too is absolutely delicious. We will be back in the near future. LOVE this restaurant.

First experience

First time at Bonifey Saturday May 18 and will ring it hard to go back. Service wasn’t the greatest, Cassandra was slow and seemed disorganized. We had to go up and refill our pitcher of water ourselves. They had a drink special which was served warm and tasted like gasoline and came in a short drink glass versus a martini glass. The grouper tacos had a nice piece of fish but very little else on the taco, other 3 meals were just ok and somewhat bland. Took forever to eat an our check to be brought to us. Noticed a few times servers trying to figure out what tables had what food

Great neighborhood country club

If a country club restaurant can be considered a neighborhood spot, this one is it. Cheerfully decorated with a beach theme, Bonifay offers indoor and outdoor seating with plentiful free parking. The menu covers the basics, burgers, sandwiches, tacos, appetizers, and dinners. Part of the FMK restaurant group, Bonifay offers regular specials and live entertainment. The bar is also indoor/outdoor and the "back porch" is a great place to grab drinks and snacks with friends while checking out the putting abilities of golfers on the nearby course. Food is good and service is prompt and cheerful. We always have a nice time here and enjoy their special themes such as Caribbean week with conch fritters and island themed cocktails on the menu.

Worth the visit

Seated right away in the outdoor section on a Saturday night. Decent food selection. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and paid attention to our needs. I had their burger $13.90. My wife had the strawberry fields salad. We shared a Pretzel bites appetizer $7.99. Wasn’t an especially busy night, our appetizer and food came out good but very slow from the kitchen which is why I gave four out of five stars.

A good meal with great service!!

The one thing that can make or break a meal is the service. Our server last night was Christine. Seems like after our first visit, she knew our drink preferences. She is alway available to refill our drinks and ready to take our order. I had the special $15 spaghetti and meatballs, and my husband had the fish tacos. Both meals were good and Christine made sure they were delivered promptly and hot!! Overall a good experience!!

An Interesting Course Ruined By the People Playing It

This course has enough elevation changes and interesting holes to make it a want to play. What ruins it and ALL of the other courses in The Villages are the people playing them. This is a very large retirement community with an incredible number of people taking up golf for the first time, or are seasonal golf snowbirds from Jan. 1 through April 30. They have no concept of ready golf, standing like fools while one person hits, show an ignorance or unwillingness to repair one's ball mark or rake a sand trap. The "ambassadors", what one would call a marshal, are limited by the owners in correcting any of this. This results in wonderful courses ruined by the people playing them.

Good on Labor Day

Labor Day menu was good with the chicken/ribs combo. The baked beans were horrible; too salty, so didn't eat them. Coleslaw was delicious, but only a small scoop came with the meal. Service was decent and handicap-friendly.

Took 1:40 minutes for dinner

Took 30 minutes to place order even though 1/2 empty at 4:30. Had group of 8. Butter fish good. Burgers nothing special. Shrimp salad plane. Quesadilla ok. If go, try fish. Allow lots and lots of time

Great Service with Christina!

We went to Bonifay yesterday evening for the Tuesday burger special. We were very happy to be served by Christina, as we have had her as our waitress many times in the past few years. Christina does a great job, she is very attentive, and always happy to see us! We highly recommend Christina at Bonifay Country Club!
