This lunch bar has a small delicious food selection - burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads that will soothe your hungry tummy and delight your palate with their tastes. Good before or after your tour of the Cantor Arts Center where it is housed.

After visiting the campus , we wanted to relax before going to see the museum . Cool Cafe was a perfect place to recharge our batteries. We enjoyed mushroom burger . We wished to have coffee latte but the machine was not functioning . We settled for butte creek. The atmosphere is good and service is average .

We stopped for late afternoon tea/coffee, coffee cake and a biscotti after viewing the Nick Cave exhibit. OUCH: Over $20 for 4 items, more expensive than Starbucks?! But a lovely setting, nonetheless, and at-hand, if you are tired and need a break after viewing exhibits at the Anderson Collection on the Stanford campus. Good place to "refuel" before heading back... More

Nearly every person who visits us here in Palo Alto is taken to the Stanford Art Museum and a lunch at the Cool Cafe. Their food is fantastic (check out their sister restaurant in Menlo Park for something more upscale!). Their salads are probably the best dish but their sandwiches are also great. I'd skip the soup but everything else... More

The cafe offered wonderful sandwiches on fresh baguette rolls. Portion size was more on the generous side. The ham and cheddar was delicious with its honey tapenade. The chicken sandwich was had thick-cut bacon and really quite tasty. The soup special was shitake mushroom with coconut milk broth - yum! Everyone left the meal quite satisfied.

Cool Cafe is located in the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford and with a locally-sourced, organic menu is really a delight for a casual lunch. The location and art-rich setting is what makes this cafe special. It is located at the back of the museum, with a patio that abuts a large lawn, with oak trees and shaded picnic tables... More

When this place opened it was great. Now the food is just average. Yesterday I had a Latte, that barely tasted like coffee. The chicken salad is still pretty reliable, but something is missing...maybe the missing ingredient is Jesse Cool's passion for food.

The stuff does it's best to make you feel good. The food and drinks are great. And the location, right next to Rodin sculptures, is wonderful. GO

Our family just spent a relaxing, nice lunch there. We really enjoy the outdoor seatings, overlooking the garden and part of the museum. Our sandwiches and soup tasted very good too.

Stumbled across this place in the Rodin sculpture garden. Excellent locally sourced food, much of it organic and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend if you're in the Stanford area and want culture and great food.
