Not bad, but disappointing

We celebrated a special birthday dinner last weekend at Noto's. It was our first time at the restaurant. While it was definitely a classy place, two of our dishes were disappointing and no one ever asked about the birthday despite our mentioning it during the reservation process. All in all, quite disappointing given its high-end status and the prices.

Went for a banquet of 100 and a program. Liked it for a group.

The owner personally supervised everything. Food was good. (Phenomenal wine cave for those who wished to purchase wine.) Space was generous. Sound system worked well. Staff was friendly.

Superior cleanliness and excellent service, even during Covid-19!!

The family owned Noto’s Old World Italian Restaurant is STILL on the TOP OF THEIR GAME! Despite Michigan’s restaurant restrictions because of Covid-19, NOTO’s is still doing it perfectly! My husband and I visited this evening to celebrate our 40th anniversary. Dining out has been non-existent for the last 6 months. We were confident that we could enjoy a dinner out because of Noto’s experience in the restaurant industry in Grand Rapids. We were SO NOT disappointed. Yes, the menu is a little more limited, but, the plus side is that everything was PERFECTLY PREPARED, PERFECTLY PRESENTED AND PERFECTLY SERVED! The entire restaurant, bar and music room are correctly social distanced. I noticed servers and management consistently using hand sanitizer. Masks are required for all employees as well as diners entering, leaving their table to use the restroom and departing. I truly felt SAFE DINING AT NOTO’S! As far as a somewhat more limited menu, Noto’s has chosen, correctly in my opinion, to offer what they can serve perfectly! Yes, I truly missed their wonderful braised lamb shank, I sincerely hope they can offer it again in the future. During these very strange times, Noto’s has chosen to do what they do best! Offer perfectly prepared salads, fresh and crispy, perfectly prepared entrees and sides, no soggy vegetables here! KUDOS TO NOTO’S for making the right choices, serving their perfectly wonderful food and EVERY EMPLOYEE SAYING THANK YOU FOR DINING WITH US!!!

Not worth the price

pretty expensive pasta, you get no salad or anything with your item ordered, and you dont even get a meal ! Very disappointing . spent $120 for 3 and we wont ever be back . Better italian food at Olive Garden, and there you get a meal, not just 1 item .

I never got a chance to try the food

Since Noto’s was on the recommendation list at the hotel where we’re staying, we thought Italian would be nice. I had reservations, arrived on time and was promptly seated. After 20 minutes with no visit from the wait staff, I notified an employee. He was very apologetic, explaining they had a large wedding reception, and got us water. We ordered our drinks, then after none arrived in an additional 25 minutes we decided to leave. The food may be fabulous here, I never got to find out.

Very Nice Dinner

Enjoyed a nice dinner with a co-worker after a long day at a trade show, we were promptly seated without a reservation and within a minute had bread on the table and a wine list. Our food was very fresh, delicious and came to the table piping hot. Fabulous wine selection and food menu. Will definitely return if I am ever in Grand Rapids again

How can an Italian place be “out” of Aperol for a Spritz?

August 24, 2019; 7:00 pm. Not only out of Aperol; also out of Maker’s Mark??? Is that possible in the same night? With a party of 40 for dinner? Did I mention the food was cold? It’s a stretch to give even 3 stars to this place! But in fairness, we’ve had a good meal here in the past.

Birthday dinner

We stopped for dinner here while I was visiting from California. The food here was authentic Italian. I especially loved the dark, sweet red sauce. We ordered the ravioli, cannelloni and gnocchi and passed the dishes around. Each one was better than the other!

Pricy with small portions

Disappointed at prices vs serving size. Food was good Also the restaurant, though new, is really sterile looking inside. It’s in a great location on the beach so maybe they feel that is enough. Will try one more time when deck is open and a different menu is offered

Classy goodness

We made reservations for a family party celebrating a 90th birthday. We had never eaten here before, but a friend recommended it. The food and service was wonderful. It made for a very special day. They were also very accommodating to our 2 & 4 year old children that were a little restless in a fine ding atmosphere.

Wonderfull Hospitality

We were in Grand Rapids for business and stopped in to Noto’s a bit by accident. We were given a great tour of the facilities and the fabulous wine collection by Chad Calder their wine specialist. Chad could have easily dismissed us as, “Out-of-Towners” but he took great care of us. His wine knowledge (esp Italian varieties) is fantastic. His suggestions for each of us were spot on. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was romantic. They have live music Wednesday-Saturday, but we were there on a Tuesday. It is a bit more expensive than a chain Italian restaurant, but well worth the quality.

Delicious experience

My husband and I visited Noto's for our 30th wedding anniversary. We were told it was a little quieter than usual due to the weather conditions but we received first rate service. The food was amazing. I had the Chicken Francesca (Parmesan crusted chicken) and my husband had the Chicken Marsala. Neither of us were disappointed. After dinner we were treated to a great tour of the facility by one of the staff.
