We were staying in Port Monards and had been very impressed with the only other place to eat in the village! We ate here several times during the week and were very impressed! I had the salmon in champagne sauce which was fabulous! Very friendly staff who couldn't speak much English at all but that added to the visits as... More

...and always promised ourselves to visit but have left it until now to make good on that promise. It was well worth the wait. We went on a cold lunchtime and thankfully phoned ahead to book because when we arrived we were shown to the only free table in the room. We must have looked cheap because the very friendly... More

Excellent at lunch or evening, never ever disappoints, always happy smiling staff and owners. Great choice individually prepared, Had lunch here today, Crab Bisque, Tender Sirloin and it's accompaniments, Cheese, Tarte de Fruites , coffee and red wine all for just 18 euros or about £13. Lovely atmospheric restaurant, make sure you're hungry!!

Good quality food (at lunchtime when we went).... At least 2 bowls of fish soup in the tureen and a large piece of salmon in a champagne and cream sauce for the main dish. All well cooked and tasty. Very busy with lots of locals at the weekend. Definitely worth a visit.

We visited for a family dinner and were not disappointed. We sat outside and recieved a warm welcome great service my wife and I had starters each but wished we had shared due to the size. Excellent food and had a gorgeous desert. The only issue were the mosquitoes which were rather annoying and as we were eating the staff... More

Thank goodness we ignored a few of the bad reviews! We tried the plat du jour. It included a starter, main, cheese, dessert and coffee for just 16 euros! All well cooked... Although, you may need to be a little adventurous in your experimenting of food... We found ourselves faced with a half of a pigs head for main course!... More

We have just eaten lunch here on a Friday. The restaurant is very busy and clearly a popular venue. We both ordered meat dishes (duck breast and lamb chops) and the portions were huge and tasty, if a little salty for our own tastes. Service was good and the house wine great quality compared to others we have experienced over... More

A typical aubergine, limited menu, , but all fresh local produce. Staff friendly and professional and food superb, good value for money, we had an apero which came with ample toasts and rillettes so we didn't order a starter. Either book or get there very early.

I've been wanting to eat here for years and finally did last week. It is not what I had in mind but still delivered. It is in a stunning location but food could have matched the location. The service is lovely, and the food is lovely too - but there isn't that - xfactor.. Might be a lovely place to... More

We've been regular customers here for more than 10 years and can say it's rare for a place to be so consistently good, probably because the staff are professional and friendly, willing to offer alternatives if you really don't like 'pig's cheek' or want a veggie dish! It's sad to see negative comments when the place is so successful overall,... More
