Had dinner twice here recently. The food, although a large menu, was quite disappointing. Ok but nothing that special. The liver and the fish were overdone and the pate not particularly tasty. However, their chips were lovely, as were the desserts. Bit expensive, we thought...More

Very friendly and helpful barmaid. Excellent soup and tasty fresh sandwich. Comfortable bar room, warm on a cold July day.

Delicious food with hearty portions and impressive selection of vegetarian dishes. Lots of outside tables. Dog friendly but shame you can't reserve a table in the dog-friendly areas.
