Four of us ate here recently and really enjoyed our visit. Steaks are very well cooked as each of us asked for them. Good selection of beer and the wine was not overpriced. Would happily go again.

We regularly visit The barrel Inn at Bretton for a late afternoon drink after a dog walk and this place has a view to die for. Nothing better than sitting outside with a pint, enjoying the view (and sometimes the sunshine). Food also good, great...More

Great location with good views over the local area. Food was decent enough, properly made burger. Focused pleasantries and service on locals predominantly. Good to go back for a pint and sit outside.

Was disapointed, was expecting a really old fashioned, cosy sort of pub,but not like that at all. There was no atmosphere, and felt as though all they catered for was people wanting food.I cannot comment on the meals as didnt have one,but they did seem rather overpriced,as was...More

We booked the night before and was informed exactly where our table would be. We arrived and were immediately shown to our table. Drinks order taken , then our food order. All meals arrived beautifully presented, steaming hot and delicious. Can not wait to go...More

Views are great but food is only moderate, I found the sir William pub down the road far exceeds the quality of food and the service

Hi yes we have taken our dog in there, who is a small terrier, but on the next table there was a pointer and a lab. From this I would say all sized dogs are welcome, as long as they are well behaved.
